For anglers, Playa Del Sol is paradise. Our location sits in one of Belize’s premier fly-fishing zones, with easy access to world-renowned flats for Bonefish, Tarpon, and Permit. You can even fish right from our private pier using complimentary gear for snappers — perfect for a peaceful evening session.
We’re also proud to be the only resort on the island with an in-house boat service, offering complete flexibility for custom trips, snorkeling adventures, or island-hopping excursions.

TRAVELING TO THE ISLAND
You can reach San Pedro one of two ways. By taking a local flight from the Belize International Airport (BZE to SPR) or by taking a public water taxi from Belize City.
Water taxi: You will need to get a taxi from International airport to Belize City to the water ferry terminal. The ferry takes 1.5 hours.
Flight: You can transfer to Tropic or Maya Island Air in the International Airport. Flight is 15 minutes.
Add a minimum $30 US taxi rate from International Airport to Water Taxi terminal in Belize City.
COMING TO PLAYA DEL SOL & SHOPPING
If you wish, we can arrange your transfer to and from Playa Del Sol Resort according to your arrival and departure times. The transfers will be private to your group. Please let us know if you want the transfer to be arranged by us with discounted rate. We will need your arrival time and arrival terminal (by air; Tropic Air or Maya Island Air. By ferry; Belize Express or Caribbean Sprinter) to the island ahead of time.
Driver will take you to grocery shopping.
Make sure to buy breakfast stuff since our bar/restaurant does not offer breakfast.
There are a couple of small grocery stores nearby. They sell basics like; water, bread, eggs, cheese, milk, chips, canned food etc...

Great remote location away from the busy nature of San Pedro, where the chill mindset of Iz and team allows one to truly relax and adopt the island vibes.

The property is beautiful with everything you need in one place. Food was delicious, drinks were great, Iz is very friendly and accomadating for whatever you need. He set us up with a beautiful beach BBQ for the birthday celebration and an awesome cake. The staff is beyond helpful and nice. Would recommend multiple excursions. David and oscar on the boat will provide you with a great time. The water is amazing with some beautiful sunrises. Will be back for sure.

From the moment we arrived, this resort felt like a dream. The service was impeccable—every staff member was warm, welcoming, and genuinely eager to make our stay special.The bar was an absolute highlight! With secret-recipe rum punch and a relaxing and lively atmosphere, it was the perfect place to unwind. Speaking of adventure, the snorkeling experience was pure magic, with vibrant marine life just beneath the surface.We traveled with three families totaling 13 people, 8 adults and 5 children ranging from 12-14 and all members had exciting adventures they loved.The pool was pure relaxation, uniquely shaped like a stingray, adding an extra splash of whimsy to our sunny swims. The resort's dog’s roaming and accompanying our group was a cherry on top, making it feel even more like a home away from home. Can't wait to return to this slice of paradise."

The three families (including 4 kids ages 3-12) in our group had a wonderful time at Playa del Sol! We enjoyed the quiet location and clean, comfortable accomodations! Iz and the PDS family took great care of us, including snorkeling and fishing trips, and delicious food and drink! We hope to return!
