This property is ready to host you and your family as you enjoy this newly renovated and decorated 2 bedrooms, 2 bath island beach house. La Cocolia offers privacy, comfort, luxury, and relaxation. Its location is ideal on a quiet street, north of Pine Ave and just a few flip flop steps away from the ...Bayfront Park and the Rod and Reel Pier. Anna Maria Bayfront Park offers white sand beaches, a shaded area for children to play, amazing views of the Skyway Bridge, and the boats traveling back and forth on Anna Maria Island. La Cocolia greets you with a modern yet cozy living room with easy access to both bedrooms and galley kitchen. Just off the dining room is a newly updated laundry room. The dining room features views of the backyard Oasis. Your family will enjoy get-togethers with all the outdoor space and shaded area under the Jasmin trellis. Leave your car parked (2 spots provided) the town is very walkable, and our island's free trolley is only 2 short blocks away at the City Pier. La Cocolia offers all the goodies to make sure your vacation doesn't skip a beat. As always, we make sure you have the ability to stay connected on our free high-speed wireless internet! *Check in time is 4pm on the day of your arrival, Check out time is 10am on the day of your departure. No early access or late departure is allowed unless special arrangements are made with our office, Our cleaning and Inspection team need time to ensure the rental is clean and safe for your stay*
*A starter kit of paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, laundry detergent, coffee & tea, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided at check-in. Also available if requested, while supplies last, is a toothbrush and sewing kit. Any additional items that you may need during your stay can be purchased at one of the local grocery stores.*
*Please note, all guests occupying this property who are under the age of 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian*
*This home has a 4 night minimum stay requirement*

*Reservations that are 30 nights or longer will require a mid-stay clean, one of our rental agents will provide more information at the time of booking.

*Pools are heated from approximately Thanksgiving to Easter only and are set no higher than 80 degrees. Spa temperatures default to the pool temperature when not in use and can reach 100 Degrees under normal weather circumstances. During colder weather, we cannot guarantee that the pool/spa can be maintained to that degree. No refunds, credits, or discounts will be offered if the pool/spa temperature cannot be maintained due to unusually cold weather*

Overall, this property was just right, aside from a few improvements that could be made here and there. The best part of this home is the backyard. The pool is big, it's so tranquil, private and beautiful. However, it would have been nice to not have found dog poop on rocks around the pool. The waterfall feature that is advertised on the pictures is not in working condition and I would have liked some communication on the fact that a vacuum was left in the pool so that I wouldn't be left wondering if I am able to remove it while we swim or just figure out how to swim around it.
The interior of the home is fine. There are moon windows so if you wish to sleep in a bit (one of the bedrooms) I suggest bringing a sleeping mask. If you don't sleep in than the location is a short walk to the beach side facing East if you want to see the Sunrise.
The kitchen was sufficient enough, easier for only one person to work in and it was lacking a cutting board. Other than that, it was great. The fridge was big enough and the dishwasher just makes life easier.
Also keep in mind that although the bikes are listed as an "amenity" don't count on it. The bikes are old and when we informed management that one was dry rotted all they said was "Thanks for letting us know". Oh well for me I suppose. Fortunately, it was easy enough to rent a bike for about $10 a day. Overall, the stay was tranquil and being to vacation on Ana Maria is a blessing.

La Cocolia was amazing and just what our family wanted for our first vacation to AMI! The home was very clean and had the amenities we needed to make it a great week. The washer and dryer were amazing with kids. Bring your own laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent and hand soap- easy to grab at many places on the island. The pool was wonderful and the backyard is gorgeous and inviting. Our communication with the staff at Salty Mermaid was top notch- they are an awesome crew of people and answered all of my questions prior to our arrival quickly. We would absolutely love to return and rent from Salty Mermaid again either at this house or one of their other rentals that we saw around the island.
