L 'OLIVADE LARGE RECENT VILLA WITH PANORAMIC VIEW

This is our 6th year to stay around Entrecasteaux and we love the hill top location of this villa which overlooks the village. We’ve come to love the understated village of Entrecasteaux. One or two minor maintenance issues but the property was professionally cleaned before we arrived. Great pool and there is a good utility room for food storage and with additional fridge freezers. Would rebook.

We stayed at L'Olivade in Entrecasteaux in June 2018. We are a large family group with 7 adults, 1 teenager and 3 young children. We had an amazing time and would have no hesitation in recommending this rental. The photos on the site are accurate but do not do justice to how beautiful the house and pool really are. The house is modern and well equipped. The rooms are spacious and we never felt crowded even though there were 11 of us. There are no internal stairs which is good for families with small children. There is a stairs outside leading to the pool area. The pool was our favourite part of the house. It is large and well maintained. It overlooks the village and the valley below but is completely private and secluded. There is a pool alarm which was very reassuring with 3 young kids in our group. The poolside area is lovely but there is only room for 4-5 sun loungers by the pool. The grounds are lovingly maintained with beautiful flowers, olive trees and fruit trees. There is also an outdoor terrace with a built-in barbecue grill and a petanque court. We cooked and ate outside on the terrace every day and there was plenty of seating for the 11 of us. The village of Entrecasteaux is small but has a bakery, tabac, post office and several bars/restaurants. The drive to the village is about 5 minutes. You can walk to the village through a forest trail which has very nice views but the trail is steep and rocky and not suitable for young kids or people with mobility issues. Entrecasteaux is a good base for day trips to places such as Tourtour, Abbaye du Thoronet, Aix and Cotignac. It is also about an hour to get to the beaches on the Mediterranean. We LOVED our stay here. The owners and local manager were responsive and a pleasure to deal with. The house and especially the pool were amazing. We highly recommend it and will definitely consider a return visit.

The villa was quite pleasant with a lovely pool and splendid views. We had a nice stay and no real complaints other than the whole place was a little tired and looking like “end of season” condition. Parasols broken and lashed up with shot cords. No cushions for outside plastic patio furniture. Broken shower head (quickly replaced). Just a bit basic and scruffy sums it up. Two things did irritate. Firstly, the host seemed quite annoyed because we arrived 1/2 hour early. Offered to wait in the car until appointed hour but no reply. Secondly , for two nights there was very loud music and drunken shouting from next door villa. Not the owners fault but very unwelcome.
