About this cottage rental
Fully furnished with queen beds, refrigerator, and essentials. It's glamping with the comforts of home including tv, wifi, bbq grill, and microwave. Located on the Big Island of Hawaii between Hilo and Kailua Kona. Located approximately 3500 ft elevation on the slopes of Mauna Loa overlooking the southern most tip of Hawaii, the last pristine coastline in Hawaii. The mornings are sunny and overcast afternoons but beautiful starry nights.

Yurt was very clean, and well appointed with dishes, cups, silverware, coffee & sugar packets. At arrival, host showed us how to use the camping type toilet & separate incinerator toilet. Also gave us some suggestions on things to see in the area, and popular bakery 29 minutes away. Highly recommend if you’re staying in the area

When booking I thought the yurt was such a great idea. This was such a cool stay, little off the beaten patch but worth the experience. Kai the host was great with check in and any information.

Friendly and accommodating host even when we arrived super late. The Yurt was also so nice, the photos don’t do it justice, was super clean and a comfy bed. Great stay and affordable price. Would stay again.

I wanted to give this a higher rating and no shade to the host but as an elderly couple we struggled. First please understand that the unit was as advertised. Clean and had plenty of towels with awesome views of the ocean. However please note that this unit is basically a wooden tent with no running water and no bathroom in the unit. It is outside the unit. I take full responsibility for not closely reading the description. We stayed during a large rainstorm as the Yurt shook, rattled and rolled. We did not feel comfortable at all and lost a lot of sleep. If you are a camper and love the outdoors this could be your jam. We however being in our 60s could not relax during the 3 days due to the storms. This is an excellent place for true glampers, we are not them.
