Space, light, calm, character ... in the heart of Paris

Location was convenient to the Seine and Notredame. Neighbourhood had a lot of character with an amazing bakery and cafes and restaurants. Lots of energy in the neighborhood. Apartment was clean and well taken care of. Communication with the host was excellent. The flat is 6 floors up with no lift so it can be a challenge for people with mobility issues. One of our sons uses a cane so it was challenging but we were fully aware of the situation when we confirmed the booking. The flat is typical Parissien with lots of character and we really enjoyed it. There are a lot of plants on the balconies so we couldn’t enjoy standing outside the window but the fresh air was nice.We would recommend this location and would boo k here again.

A beautiful apartment, cozy, spacious, and very well located, with supermarkets, bakeries, and restaurants nearby. The kitchen also has all the necessary utensils for cooking. Thanks to the kindness and hospitality of the hosts, we felt right at home.

We were a group of mixed ages (family of four inc children 7 & 10), a 25 year old and Nanny (78) and we all loved the flat. The decor is attractive and the children loved sleeping in the mezzanine. It’s super well equipped, and comfort levels are high! Communication with Corinne was spot on, and check in / access was simple. We also appreciated the location which is both quiet but with everything (including some great bars, restaurants and bakeries) minutes if not seconds from your door. It was also straightforward to get various destinations throughout the trip.

VRBOers used to staying in homes that are someone's extra or vacation property: this is the owner's home filled with many works of art and items from world travels, as well as a lot of plants that fill one side of the living room & all 4 very small balconies. This is not a bare apartment meant for renters to fill & use at their whim. The owner is very accommodating and gracious about those who might need to move breakable items around to make space or to keep away from tiny hands. Detailed instructions are provided in English about making your stay enjoyable. Four of us stayed for a week in this 7th floor walk-up (6 flights of wide spiral wooden stairs, I think 102 steps altogether) very close to both Oberkampf & Parmentier Metro stops. The king-size bed (memory foam mattress) was in the same room as the tub with a handheld sprayer, sink, and shower stall with a shower head can also be used as a handheld. The toilet was located in the hallway next to the master bedroom. The small bedroom with a twin size bed is accessible off the hallway leading to the living room & kitchen. The loft with queen mattress is accessible by a ladder that my 18 yo 6' 180 lb son could easily scramble up - but I wouldn't recommend it for someone uncoordinated or elderly. A bookcase blocks the view of the bed but there is no barrier between the bookcase and the ladder so not for toddlers or sleepwalkers. The living room is spacious with an L-shaped sofa including a pullout that could comfortably accommodate 2 smaller people or one large person (my 6'3" husband slept there two nights to get away from the effects of a cold I developed while there LOL). The kitchen is fully equipped, the dishwasher and washer/dryer combo brand new. What we loved about this flat was that it represented what we imagine to be a typical Parisian's apartment living experience in a neighborhood convenient to sights but away from the tourist centers. Be prepared for some night noise on the street that closed windows will block. We are fit & still did get a workout up those steps. We were there in the record heatwave and it really does work to close the windows & shades during the day & open all up and use fans upon return. We were never uncomfortable at night. (We are used to summer heat but not without air conditioning.) Thank you Corinne & daughter for a memorable and very pleasant stay!

Good atmosfere. Safe building in nice neighboorhood. Lots of shops within 100 meters: baker, butcher, cheese, nuts, flowers, wine and even supermarket. Easy walking to metro, Notre Dame and the Marais. House friendly but a bit overstuffed and overdecorated. Hard to find any space for your own stuff when you are a guest. Kitchen small but fully equipped. Dishwasher unfortunately made dishes more dirty instead of clean ( ran it twice). Still we enjoyed our stay here very much.

We loved the apartment. It is in a relatively quiet street in Paris, which is rare. There is a wonderful patisserie/boulangerie at the corner of the street and a small supermarket not far. Subway is very close, less than 5 min walk. It is on the top floor without elevator which was fine for us, but maybe not for all.

The apartment had everything we needed, beds were comfortable, location was great!
