Single house lake view 4 people 10 minutes walk from the center

We were met with a friendly welcome by the aunt and uncle who live next door. The gentle old couple gave us some good advice and always asked if we need anything. After a week, we even received a bottle of homemade limoncello, which was a very nice touch. Everything is as described. The kitchen is well-equipped and in good knick. The AC is useful, especially when the temperatures reach 30 C or more. The view from both bedrooms is great – just open the folding shutters and you can see the lake. The view from the balcony is equally enchanting, onto the olive grove and the lake beyond. It’s a pity the (public) parking place is not a little closer to the house; but carrying groceries and large water bottles certainly helps burning some calories! We used the nearby alimentari to buy bread rolls and croissants every morning. It is near the church, only a five-minute walk down the hill. Other shops (Conad, Sigma, etc.) are a 10-minute drive away. The bar and icecream parlour (Bar D’Annunzio) down at the Church are okay, however the latter became rather irritating after a while. The icecream itself is not bad, but vastly fluctuating scoop sizes, the wrong change, no receipts, etc. make you wonder if they take tourists for mugs. Almost all the shops and restaurants in the area cater to tourists which makes it hard sometimes to find the ‘real Italian experience’. This said, we liked the nearby Trattoria Marietta (less than 100 yards from the house), but it is really, really busy, so do make sure to make a reservation (any day of the week!). Our favourite beach was Spiaggia Casinò, the one next to Bar spiaggia casino because it was in walking distance. We also went on day trips to Verona and Brescia, which are both worth a visit. All in all, we had a great holiday. We therefore fully recommend this house.

The house is located in a very quiet place on the top of the hill in Gardone Riviera. Wonderful place where to spend your holiday with friends or with your family. Great terrace with a fantastic and stunning view on the lake. for sure we will come back!

Perfect place where to spend a nice week with friends or family! The house is perfect located in the area and we had the opportunity to relax and enjoy the spectacular view on the lake! ( View from all windows on the lake) spacious living room and big terrace, perfect for dinner and lunch! We will definitely come back soon!
