About this house rental

This beautiful restored Casona was the residence of the first town doctor. The location is excellent being very close to shops and restaurants. Although it's close to the town square once you enter the front door the interior of the property is peaceful due to the 3 foot thick interior walls. The house was restored with the original floor plan and is furnished with custom-made furniture. We have all the modern conveniences and a live-in houseman on the property in private quarters at the extreme back corner of the gardens. Carlos has been in our employ for over 17 years and is able to help you enjoy your visit to Valladolid. The gardens are high maintenance and he spends his days manicuring the tropical plants and maintaining the living quarters as needed. Maximum 6 persons.

The many intentional gathering spaces placed throughout this property created opportunity for effortless connection and organic communication. We were treated like royalty from the moment we were cheerfully greeted by Danielle and Carlos until the moment we reluctantly said our final farewell. We are already making plans for our return!

We absolutely loved our stay. It was one of the high points of our trip to Mexico. We couldn’t believe this was our home for a few days! The location is perfect, the natural setting gives you the chance to enjoy the outdoors constantly, and Carlos and Danielle were amazing helps during our stay. We loved hearing the history of the property and it was fantastic to get to cook family meals in this kitchen! My two teen girls and I felt perfectly safe even in the heart of Valladolid.

That house is wonderful with large spaces and good access to the centre of town. However we had substantial issues with a few important amenities. The upstairs bedroom toilet flush didn't work for the entire stay. The wifi doesn't work anywhere except the main bedroom. I recommend a wifi extender in the house. Basic amenities like a kettle and microwave were not provided. It made cooking in the house harder. Danielle is a nice host with great communication and tried to assist but I would check for the above basic amenities before staying here again, not worth the price.
