About this house rental
This rustic cabin is tucked away on 2 acres on Long Lake. The original log structure dates to 1858 with a new addition built out of repurposed barn wood. Enjoy a quiet retreat or a romantic getaway by the fireplace. Spend some time by the lake enjoying the fresh air and wildlife, or reconnect with family around the table playing games. Our cabin is the perfect place to re-energize and reconnect.

Bedroom 2: Full bed in loft
Bedroom 3: Set of single bunkbeds - great for kids
Full bath with tub and shower
Half bath upstairs
Upstairs reading room with desk
Large furnished kitchen/dining area with view of the property
Canoe and Kayak available to use with life jackets (assuming the ice is off the lake)
Basic fishing supplies available
Charcoal grill on patio with charcoal
Bedding provided
Long Lake is not a commercialized recreational lake.
Guests will self check in through keypad. We are available to answer any questions throughout your stay via AirBnB messaging.
Our cabin is centrally located among quaint towns and beautiful lakes. There is easy access to local shopping and other outdoor recreation.
Litchfield: A town of about 7,000 people with many restaurants, local shopping, and a Wal-Mart (15 minute drive)
Grove City: A small town of about 600 with two excellent restaurants
Hog N' The Road is open on Fridays and Saturdays - reservation necessary. Honkey's Bar and Grill is open daily. (5 minutes)
Willmar: City of about 20,000 with numerous restaurants and local shopping (25 minute drive)
Spicer: Small town on the shore of Green Lake - a wonderful lake for swimming and recreation. (25 minutes)
Minneapolis: Twins baseball games, shopping, and other urban experiences (2 hr drive)
Or, just snuggle up in the cabin with someone you love.
Our cabin is rural, which means there is limited contact with others else unless you choose to go to town.

We stayed for two weeks for work and absolutely loved it. The setting was private and charming, with fast Wi-Fi and a cozy little fireplace that made it feel like home. The lake access was a fantastic bonus—perfect for relaxing after a day of work. I’d definitely book again!
