About this cabin rental

This cozy cabin is nestled just off the main street. Furnished with log furniture built right here from the Lincoln National Forest. Bedding includes a full bed for two. The perfect place for downtown shopping/eating as well as experiencing the outdoors and taking the road less traveled! Be sure to read the book to understand the name of this cozy cabin which has been named Blynken since the early 1900s! This special place is close to everything.

Everything was as advertised. Check in was easy. Communication with the host was effective. Cabin was well furnished and adequate for our stay. Did hear the dog mentioned in other reviews but he was not a problem. Got an unexpected visit from a friendly black and white cat. Cabin was an easy walk to Cloudcroft and convenient to our hiking destinations. Would consider staying again when in the area.

Things we liked: location, cleanliness, and communication. Things we did not like: 1. cabin is way too hot for a summer stay. No air conditioner. Fans do not lower temp enough. 2. Bathroom door does not close all the way. You can hear everything, could be embarrassing because there isn’t bathroom privacy. 3. Shelves missing from refrigerator. Cannot store much food. Has to fit on bottom. 4. Neighbor’s dog cried/howled/bark all day and night. 5. Asked to not use white towels for makeup, to use dark towels, no dark towels were provided. 6. Shower is short. Have to duck/bend knees to fit.
