Really nice place for a quiet hub for our Acadia vacation. The house was clean and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The host was very communicative. We traveled with our dog and enjoyed that there was ample green space in the yard to run around. This location was very quiet and felt local as compared to Bar Harbor. Enjoyed local restaurants and shopping in the cozy Southwest Harbor nearby. Visitors should note that most places in the immediate area close by 8pm so encourage planning meals accordingly. Recommend arriving during the daylight as the area is dark and somewhat remote at night.

The house had just the right amount of space for our family of 4 and our dog. King bed in the primary bedroom was comfy and we slept like rocks after active days of hiking. Loved waking up to the salty air and water views. Also enjoyed amazing sunsets and stargazing at night. The house was as described and had everything we needed. Communication with the owner was outstanding. We prefer staying on the quiet side of MDI and know the trade off can be longer drives to conveniences, but this house was no more than 10-15 minutes to several restaurants and the grocery store in Southwest Harbor. Many nice hikes nearby - Ship Harbor Trail was especially close and the perfect afternoon hike on our day of arrival to move our legs and introduce our kids to the amazing MDI landscape.

Great waterfront location at MDI ...super clean. We were able to enjoy the quiet side of the island. Great Lobster restaurants close by. Nice restaurants minutes away in Southwest Harbor. Sat on decks and watched the ferry. Communication with host was excellent and super accommodating with change of plans.
