From 9/03/2024, to 12/02/ 2024, there may be noise due to renovations being completed on the exterior walls of the building. Due to this project, the pool will be closed from 10/14/2024 to 11/15/2024 and 1/20/2025 to 2/21/2025. These dates may change due to unexpected weather conditions.
This one-bedroom has a panoramic view of the ocean, mountain, and city from the spacious lanai. The unit is equipped with a full-size kitchen and has a comfortable living area. Pacific Monarch is located in a convenient location: 2-minute walk to the beach and grocery store. The bus stops right in front of the building.

This room and property fit the bill. Daily rate was discounted due to exterior painting and pool renovations. Less than 3 blocks to beach. Balcony had unobstructed views of ocean. Will stay here again

PROS:+ Incredible view to the ocean, Diamond Head and Waikiki.+ Very central location for a quick dive into the Pacific Ocean+ Restaurants, takeaways in the immediate surrounding area+ Quick access to the apartment via the hotel lobby and three elevators+ Very convenient: waste disposal via chute in the hallway directly in front of apartment+ Inexpensive washing machines and dryers available in the building+ Very good kitchen equipment with good appliances, even a rice cooker+ Very good and comfortable beds in the sleeping room.+ Great corner balcony with lounger, chairs and table+ Nice bathroom, toilet with bidet function.+ Everything was very clean+ Very fast and very friendly contact with property management Aska Gateway Estates. Thanks alot!!!CONS:- Due to the central location it is often very noisy at night (shouting people, engine noises, garbage collection...)- Hotel a bit outdated, but renovation in progress. Jacuzzi and pool on the roof could urgently use a makeover.- For four adults (we arrived as a family with two adult children), the apartment is maxed out space-wise.- There are few options for storing clothes. Closets are almost non-existent.- The pull out sofa in the living room is not suitable for adults. Firstly, the lying surface is only 1.70 m long, secondly, the mattress is so worn that the springs poke through everywhere.- Smaller technical deficiencies: sluggish windows / shower drain very slow. - Only two key cards for four people a bit impractical.Conclusion: for a couple or a young family with a child who want "high life" in a central location, this is the perfect apartment.Translated with (free version)

The view and room size was great. But as I mentioned in an email earlier this condo did was not up to the quality of rentals we have stayed in before from Aska. Just to review our concernsLimited closet space and drawer space for a long term rentalDrapes as you mentioned still on backorderAdditionallycan opener that hardly workedmissing remote control for AC unit ( a replacement would not cost more than $25.00)kitchen sink faucet that had way too much pressure probably from a flow restrictor. I hope this these concerns help you make this unit a more attractive rental in the future.
