Discover this mountain chalet nestled in the heart of the Hautes-Vosges, on the edge of a preserved forest and at the start of many hiking trails. Ideally located for a winter-summer stay, this refuge offers unparalleled comfort: warm fireplace, sauna, and an impressive panoramic view of the Vosges ridges.
Only 700 m from the ski slopes of Grand Valtin, and 10 km from the resorts of Gérardmer and La Bresse, this chalet is a perfect base for lovers of downhill skiing or cross-country skiing. In winter, access is clear and snow tyres are recommended. In summer, go hiking or discover the typical houses of the Vosges valley.
The chalet is very bright, with a south-facing balcony and a west terrace overlooking a large garden of about 2,000 m². The private parking can accommodate up to 3 cars, while preserving the tranquility of this residential high-altitude area.
The interior has been carefully renovated and decorated in a "mountain & travel" style: warm wood, wool carpets, skins, antique objects. The 40 m² living room, with its fireplace, is a friendly living space to meet up with family or friends. The mezzanine is transformed into a TV lounge or extra sleeping area (1 adult or 2 child sofa bed) 4K TV + home cinema).
The open kitchen is fully equipped (induction hob, dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer), ideal for sharing convivial meals. Two bedrooms on the first level (bed 160 and bed 140), shower room, WC. On the first floor: two other bedrooms, a bathroom with bath, 4-seater sauna, separate WC, laundry area (washing machine, dryer).
Outside, enjoy:
• a balcony with table and chairs,
• a terrace with lounge
• a landscaped garden with picnic table, sun loungers, parasols and barbecue.
At the end of summer, you can even hear the bellowing of the deer, directly from the terrace. The start of the Chaume de Sérichamp is a few steps away: a magical trail to explore on foot, on foot or on snowshoes depending on the season.
This chalet combines rustic and authentic charm with modern comfort: efficient electric heating, wood provided for the fireplace, storage space for ski boots, quality bedding.
Located close to Gérardmer, La Schlucht, La Bresse and Alsace, this chalet is ideal for nature holidays, ski getaways or relaxing stays with family or friends. It can accommodate up to 10 (11 people with children)
Linen option (sheets and towels) available on arrival for €80 to €100 depending on the number of guests.

the house is clean and in quiet area. The owner is very welcoming, nice and and provide good and clear instruction. However , the house mate was aggrisist a little bit.

We had a fantastic family-weekend in the house. The communication was totally uncomplicated and everything worked well. However the weather was really bad we could catch some sun on the balcony with a nice view and enjoin the sauna. We were 10 people in the house which fits very well. I can absolutely recommand this location. Thanks Isabelle and Christelle and best regards!

Grand Valtin is a beautiful home away from home. Isabelle was a very caring host who made sure we had no worries or needs. Her home has all of the amenities that we needed and everything was very well taken care of and very clean. The interior of the house is very well decorated and very beautiful. The spaces are comfortable and we were incredibly happy with our choice to stay there.
We spent 16 days in France and Germany, but some of our favorite days and memories are from the Grand Valitin!

Great location, beautiful terrace overlooking the valley and the garden, five star equipment, comfortable beds, and very clean.We loved the charming decoration with its 2 different styles on the ground floor and on the 1st floor .
It is a very peaceful place in the midst of the mountains for nice walks and rest, nevertheless close to a charming village, close to Alsace and close to Gerardmer for shopping .
Warm welcome by a neighbor, as owner doesn't live here.
Owner Isabelle was easy to deal with, and always very responsive by mail and phone.
