The Lodge at Pilot Knob at The Pilot Knob Retreat is the main home build in the early 1800's that has been fully restored. This 3 bedroom cabin sleeps up to 13 guests and is one of three properties on a quiet, private 3 acre lakefront estate.
The home sits on the front of the property with a lakeview and is surrounded by trees that offer the ability to explore with a short hike that leads you to the water's edge so you and your guest can enjoy time & activities by the water.
The outdoor area features 3 covered porches and a side deck. The back covered porch is oversized and overlooks the in-ground salt water pool. The exterior also has ample outdoor seating, a fire pit, and grill—perfect for an evening under the stars!
The home is designed to provided spaces for connection and restoration for you and your guests. On the main floor, you can gather in the living room for great conversation or game night, enjoy lounge time in the library, and there's plenty of room for everyone to eat a family-style meal around the big table in the dining room.

Bedroom 3- daybed that converts into king, twin over full bunk bed

Our large family was in town for the Coldplay concert. We wanted a place to rest and play away from the hustle and bustle of Nashville. The manor house was the perfect escape! It had plenty of room for an extended family of 9 to spread out and relax. When we weren’t enjoying downtown (only a 30 minute drive), we were soaking in the clean and well kept pool. Owners weren’t needed, but were very responsive when texting with a question. Air conditioning worked great and saved the day on those hot TN days. Highly recommend.

This house is very pretty and well maintained for a historical house. Very time appropriate pieces in the home to make it feel cozy.
We really like firm beds, they were firm and comfortable. The kitchen had all the items we needed to cook with which is not typical of vacation homes so this was a nice surprise.
We loved using the pool and the back outdoor seating area was nice to relax at if you wanted to stay in the shade. The owners were very responsive to emails and got back to us quickly.
Only half of the grill was working, but we did bring our travel blackstone so this was not an issue for us. I did let the owners know this and they said they were in the process of buying new grills which will be a great addition to the back porch area.
All of the main rooms were comfortable, however the room next to the bedroom with 2 queens that is listed as a place for little kids to stay was extremely hot so this did not work out for my grandkids. They just made a "bed" downstairs in one of the sitting areas and this worked perfect for them.
The downstairs bathrooms were great and the one bathroom off the room with bunk beds was great. We didn't really use the bathroom off the 2 queen beds room due to the heat and the tub/shower area is very short with a handheld shower head. The adults were too tall for this so they just shared a bathroom with one of the other couples.
When in the Nashville area with our entire family we will definitely stay here again. We really enjoyed our stay!
