About this apartment rental
Huge and cozy flat in Sol:
The apartment is in a nice building on a side street to Puerta del Sol. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, is perfect for families with children, a group of friends or couples who want to share the same space but with privacy.
The apartment is located steps away from Puerta del Sol, Plaza Callao y Gran Vía. Is in the middle of one of the most important and famed shopping street in Madrid 'Preciados', and it has just been extensively renovated (everything is brand new:). With three separate bedrooms (plus sofa beds) and three bathrooms, it's perfect for families, a group of friends, or 3 couples.
The apartment is on the second floor of a building, and like most buildings in the centre of Madrid, IT DOES NOT HAVE ELEVATOR.
Guest access
The apartment consists of:
* Two rooms with double bed of them with bathroom with shower inside.
* Another room with two beds (90 cm x 200 cm) and bathroom with shower. * A third bathroom with bathtub, perfect for families with children.
* Dining room with two comfortable sofas and several armchairs, dining area for 10 people, TV and open kitchen (fully equipped with everything you need).
* Washing machine.
* Crib, highchair and toys for children upon request.
* And of course wifi access
*Cot available upon request 15 euros extra
* We also provide sheets and towels, and other things like iron, hairdryer, bathroom products, maps and basic ingredients for the kitchen. One set of hand towel and shower towel per person per stay up to 7 nights will be provided. If more are required, there will be a charge of 10 euros per set.
No smoking in the apartment. In case of smoking, we will charge €100 as penalty.

Excellent host! Vanessa (host) was very responsive, providing great information about check in, including videos that were spot on. She was accommodating to a request for early check in and quickly responded when we needed to extend a day on short notice. The location cannot be beat. We were 1-2 minute walk to catch the metro, steps away from coffee, restaurants, cash exchange or ATMs, shopping and essentials from express grocery store. Puerta del Sol is a prime location to get to most things by walking. Description of the unit was also accurate. Had all essentials we needed. AC unit in main area and one bedroom (with twins beds). Not in main bedrooms with queens. The two AC units were sufficient as other rooms have ceiling fans. Tip for check in: pay security deposit from computer or alternate internet engine different from primary on phone. iPhone Safari did not work for any of our cards. I had to use my husbands phone and download Google Chrome engine to drop in URL address and pay. That delayed our check in. VRBO tried to send link via text, but on e-sim card, this took a bit of time via What’s App. Delayed our ability to check in by an hour spent figuring this out. I appreciate the 3 options to enter the building and apartment (URL link swipe on phone, key, and key fob). Host recommends (as do I, to always carry the actual keys on you in case e-keys fail). WiFi was very reliable. Had plenty of hot water. Beds comfortable. Apartment secure. I’d book again!

What a wonderful find. Centrally located, modern, clean and well equipped. Amazing value. Safe location, well lit and entrance on a pedestrian Main Street. The back bedrooms were quiet, and large, but didn’t have AC when the doors were closed for privacy. The front bedroom and central living space had AC units. Shopping, food and tourist attractions all close by. Additional perk of an all hours small convenience store right across the street for food and drink items. TV was Google, so a little harder to interface than Roku. Large refrigerator, plenty of TP, and ample living room space for 6 people. Only two sets of keys, but did have a mobile entry system. Confirmation and documentation process was a little complex, and thru an app and service. 3rd floor walk up so beware on luggage. Also closes taxi drop off is at least Amos away. Would recommend and stay here again!

The location is ideal to explore all corners of the city. The So neighborhood is bustling night and day and the beds are fair as far as comfort-notIdeal for light sleepers . The place itself is ok but would definitely benefit from a refresh of the decor and kitchen items. The check in process is problematic but Vanessa was responsive and super helpful. 3.5/5 stars
