Kingfisher Lodge is located on the Portnellan Estate in the central Highlands of Scotland and offers tasteful and luxurious self-catering accommodation for up to four guests. The lodge includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area. Its setting offers panoramic views of lochs, glens, and mountains, with abundant native wildlife and occasional visits from roaming deer.
Recently refurbished, the bedroom layout includes a king-sized double with en-suite bath and overhead shower, and a twin bedroom with a separate shower room. The modern fitted kitchen is fully equipped, including a washing machine, dishwasher, double oven, ceramic hob, microwave, and fridge-freezer. An open-plan living area opens to a private balcony with garden furniture and scenic views of Loch Dochart and Ben More.
Amenities include a TV with a satellite package, Blu-ray DVD player, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Onsite there is a small shop with basic necessities and local produce, along with a visitor centre offering local information, games, and DVDs.
The Portnellan Estate has remained privately owned by the same family for nearly 40 years and includes well-maintained leisure facilities. Guests can enjoy wild salmon and trout fishing on estate waters, biking trails, a games room with various activities, gym equipment, and use of kayaks and boats. New features for 2025 include a bookable BBQ hut and outdoor sauna.

Booked on vrbo host came to see us not long after check in and said we had got a bargain seemed annoyed told us what we should have paid and then told what we paid . we paid what it came up online so we hadn’t done anything wrong .we are angry at this as the couple travelling with us we had bought for their anniversary gift and Cameron wasted no time in stating price of trip which was very unprofessional. I had to chase up details of check in which I only received day before trip. Cameron (the host ) also said we were nearly not coming which again was no fault of ours and again very unprofessional.
