124 East Cooper is a very special, quaint house and a Folly Beach landmark. Two blocks from the ocean and one block from Folly Beach's town center with local shops, restaurants, and entertainment. You can park your car and walk to all that Folly has to offer. Completely restored top to bottom, the home features high, 10-14 foot ceilings, 650 Sq Ft of living space, beadboard walls, sash-weighted windows and hardwood floors throughout. A classic beach house, but fully renovated. The delicious Chico Feo restaurant with live music is next door, enjoy the fun and vibrant atmosphere just steps away!
The bathroom has been updated with modern fixtures and a large walk-in shower. The retro kitchen has cement counters, a GE Profile gas cook top, and a very cool refrigerator (pun intended). Central heat and air make this classic cottage even more comfortable. Truly a vacation home for any season.
Perched high on a hill, the home is a delight to stay in. With one queen sized bed, the house is cozy just for two people to spend the night and enjoy the beach life. The living room opens to the sunroom and small front porch where there is plenty of space and creates the perfect reading spot.
Covered back porch is right off kitchen and opens to side yard. Two outdoor showers (hot and cold water) are convenient for a quick rinse after beach activities. Wi-fi internet and an iPod player are our tech and entertainment options. Books and puzzles are highly encouraged.
124 East Cooper is strictly non-smoking and not pet-friendly. **Detached 3rd porch near back parking spot is gated & for owner use only!** Amenities include free Wi-Fi, washer, dryer, stove top, outdoor shower, central heat and air conditioning, parking for up to 1 vehicles, and 24-hour emergency on-call staff. Property does not include a TV, oven, nor microwave. No events allowed that exceed the maximum occupancy of the home. Must be 25 years old or older to rent. Two rolls of paper towels, 1 sponge, 1 dishwashing liquid, 3 trash bags, 3 dishwasher tabs, and 2 kitchen towels in the kitchen. Each bathroom will have 2 toilet paper rolls and at least 1 bar of soap. Full bathrooms additionally include kits with travel size products: 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner, 1 lotion bottle, and 2 makeup wipes.

This was the perfect location for a first-time traveler to Folly Beach.I describe the home as a retro tree house, very light and serene. I spent most of my time in the front room/sunroom which is surrounded by gorgeous trees. You feel like you’re in a forest, that just happens to be 2 blocks from the beach.Everything I needed was within a 2 block radius - the beach, a grocery store, and a casual outdoor restaurant/music venue.I can’t wait to come back!

We loved having Chico Feo across the street. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and listening to live music. You also could not beat the location as we were able to walk to everything!

Don’t let the name fool you. Unless your idea of retreat involves windows vibrating from mediocre bands and rappers until 11 PM, this isn't a retreat.The Reality:Sound: You are 50 steps from a loud outdoor stage. We couldn’t hear our own tablet at night. Our only "quiet" night was when it rained and the venue closed.Maintenance: Musty sheets and nasty-tasting ice.Logistics: The shower lacks basic shelving (products go on the floor), and loud trucks arrive at dawn to service the bar next door."I plan to be a frequent visitor to this area and enjoy the local venues, but misrepresenting a high-traffic noise zone as a 'retreat' is a failure in hospitality. I request that the listing be updated to include a noise disclosure."Positives: The beach is lovely and Bert’s is convenient, but the lack of transparency from Carolina One is disappointing. A "retreat" implies peace—this was a 12-hour-a-day concert.
