About this cabin rental

Looking to get away from the fast paced life? This cozy 2-story, 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath, rustic log cabin, sits on 4 acres tucked against the hills just outside Indiana's Hoosier National Forest in the Ohio River Valley. Relax on the deck or watch the fire dance in the outdoor fire pit. Calm, tranquil, SERENITY!

Our cabin sits right outside the Hoosier National Forest which offers 84 miles of hiking trails with 50 miles of them open to horses. From the cabin you are less than a 10 minute walk from the Mogan Ridge East trail head and a short drive to many others.

If you enjoy fishing and boating, you are 5 minutes from the Derby Boat Ramp giving you easy access to the Ohio River. The most common fish caught are bluegill, redear, bass, and catfish.

There is a small park located in Derby just a few minutes down the road. There are basketball courts, swings, slides, a shelter house, and a beautiful view for the parents while watching the children play.

Very nice cabin with well-equipped kitchen. A few other cabins in the vicinity and a convenience store nearby. Other than that, nature. We enjoyed hiking, the hot tub, and the whirlpool bath. There is no WiFi but a collection of DVDs and even VHS, but we didn’t get around to watching any. Lots of games as well.

The cabin was great we enjoyed our stay but the guy I spoke with failed to mention that it had close neighbors. Other than that it was amazing and we loved it.

Great cabin feel in a beautiful area within walking distance to the Ohio river. Lots of classic board games and DVDs. We had cell signal, but there is no wifi (if you want to work detox ;-). We stopped at a large grocery store on the way down and just cooked our own food, made our own coffee, etc. bring your own charcoal, etc if you want to grill. The hot tub at night was wonderful! Thanks!
