We were excited to stay in a first-floor end unit at Mountainside Condos. The location was ideal, with a great view of Peak One from the large deck and convenient access to the clubhouse and amenities.Unfortunately, several issues with the unit impacted our stay:1) The dishes in the cabinets were visibly dirty, requiring us to run everything (including silverware) through the dishwasher before use.2) We found multiple damaged items, including bent curtain rods pressed into the drywall, noticeable scratches on the TV, and an ottoman lid that wouldn’t close properly.3) Most concerning, the smoke detector went off every time we used the oven, regardless of what was cooking. It was already hanging by its wires when we arrived, and the issue persisted even with proper ventilation and no visible smoke. We reported this several times, but the suggested workaround—removing the batteries—was not feasible since the unit appeared to be hardwired.4) The king mattress in the master bedroom was extremely firm, making it difficult for my wife and me to get a comfortable night's sleep. 5) The cushions on the patio furniture are pretty well worn and could use updating to be more comfortable. We really appreciated the location, but the issues listed above left us disappointed.

Positive things first. Great location, condo has nice amenities we took advantage of. Plenty of parking. Large primary bedroom. Kitchen was well stocked. Loved the fireplace and view was terrific. The living area is really small so even though you can fit 5 - 6 people in terms of beds it's tight, there isn't even room for a kitchen table and two of the stools at the kitchen bar are broken. The pipes in the building froze so we didn't have water for a day and a half in 7 degree weather. I was with 3 teenage boys so this was extremely challenging. I understand fully that things happen, but I alerted the management company to a potential issue at 7:30 am when one bathroom lost water - had they dealt with it immediately the pipe might not have burst. It was rough not having any water for a day and a half and their initial response was not urgent enough in my view. I asked several times for a refund of at least a day, which they did grant but again, I felt like I had to push harder for resolution of this than I should have. After a hard day skiing, coming back to unusable toilets and showers is rough. Waking up to the same conditions made preparing for a day of activity even harder. Bottom line: I wanted to see more proactive behavior from the management company but in the end they did provide a refund for one day. I think this unit has pluses but be aware of how small the living area is.

Let me start off with the positive by stating that communication and responsiveness was excellent. Our bathroom door locked (don't ask me how) and a technician was quickly dispatched to fix the lock at 6 pm on a Sunday. A couple of other calls or inquiries we had were quickly resolved. However the place itself is nothing special and in fact is a bit run down and the worse for wear. Several windows have no curtains or blinds. Furniture is worn out. The Club House is nice and we enjoyed having access to a sauna. This is certainly not a 10.
