About this house rental
Welcome to Narnia, a 5 bedroom oceanfront vacation home on Oak Island! If you're familiar with The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe — you'll understand why this cozy coastal cottage is named after the magical world of Narnia! There's so much to enjoy here, with a private boardwalk to the beach, multiple spaces for enjoying the panoramic ocean views, and a completely renovated kitchen. Plus, it's perfectly situated in the West Beach area, about a mile down the road from Lonerider and close to The Point.
On the main level, you'll find a bright, open floor plan for your family and friends to gather! The living space is complete with those incredible views, an oversized sectional couch, two swivel chairs, and a large flatscreen TV. The fully renovated kitchen has quartz countertops, custom herringbone tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances, a beverage refrigerator with an additional ice maker, a Keurig coffee maker, and bar seating for up to 4! A few steps away is the spacious dining area with a stunning wooden table that seats up to 8. The real star of the show is the expansive seaside deck that features multiple places to sit and relax while you listen to the soothing sounds of the waves or watch the sunset with your favorite drink in hand.
Two bedrooms are located on this floor — both with queen-sized beds and coastal touches throughout. These bedrooms share a generous Jack and Jill bathroom with 2 toilets, 2 vanities, and a tub shower combination. Bathrooms and laundry room remodeled in late 2024!
Upstairs boasts a dedicated workspace in the loft area and the remaining bedrooms! The first bedroom has a queen-size bed and is attached to an extended bathroom with another set of 2 toilets, 2 vanities, and a walk in shower combination. The second bedroom on this level has two twin beds, and last but not least, the third bedroom features a vibrant bunkbed room with an additional daybed and flatscreen TV!
Heading to the ground level, you'll find a bonus living space (also known as the “game room”) with a large flatscreen TV and plenty of board games! The third full bathroom with a shower and the laundry room are also on this level. Outside has a fantastic shaded spot to sit, along with a shower with hot and cold water to rinse off the sand after a fun day out on the beach! As you will find when selecting dates on the calendar, there are minimum stay requirements based on the season. There is a 7 night minimum with a mandatory Saturday to Saturday rental pattern in the peak summer months, and there is more flexibility in the slower seasons. We spent a week at the Narnia house with 9 adults. Our group included myself and my husband, our 25 year old daughter and her fiance, my 23 year old son, my 20 year old daughter and her boyfriend and my parents who are in there 70's. Narnia is a great home with a fantastic location right on the beach. It was easy access for everyone to come in and out as they wanted to through out the day. The beach was never crowded and we set up our shade right in front of the house each day. The outside shower was very nice to have and the shower / bath downstairs was a nice addition.The house had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking pans. We cooked most of the week we were there. We enjoyed the extra beverage fridge for keeping adult beverages and waters cold without taking up the main fridge space. The view from the deck is lovely. We did set up an umbrella for my parents to be able to stay out of the sun. We enjoyed sitting out at night and looking at the stars from the deck.We would stay again at Narnia, if we ever get the opportunity to return to Oak Island!

This beautiful house right on the beautiful beach is all you need for a perfect vacation. The house was comfortable and well stocked. The location cannot be beat. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen modern and convenient. No complaints at all. My family and I would absolutely return.
