Value Condo: Rocky Mountain Hideaway is a 1125 sq ft two-bedroom condominium with views of the San Juan National Forest from the living room, deck, and master bedroom. This condominium is situated on the second and third floors and sleeps six. Located just 1.5 miles from Purgatory Resort and adjacent to Black Diamond Lodge (formerly Silverpick Lodge) makes it a super convenient location whether you are vacationing in the winter for skiing, want easy access to the high country trails in the Summer and Fall, or need housing near one of the many wedding venues. Enjoy delicious food from several nearby restaurants and end your day with a soak in the outdoor (public) hot tub!
The living room features a 55-inch TV and a wood burning fireplace. The kitchen comes equipped with full sized appliances including a microwave, dishwasher, and is completely stocked with pots, pans, and dinnerware. The master bedroom has a king bed and a 32-inch flatscreen TV. The second bedroom also has a king bed and a 32-inch flatscreen TV. In additions there is a queen-sized pullout couch in the living room. Linens, blankets, and pillows are all provided.

A friendly reminder before you book your stay, is to remember we are trusted to manage independent and family-owned homes. We simply ask that you treat these homes and properties with the same respect that you would expect one to treat yours. Due to a recent uptick in unauthorized guest, pets and gatherings. We are implementing a strict "one strike" policy for any guest that are found having any unauthorized gatherings, pets or guest with them in the home. Failure to disclose any of the stated above will result in immediate termination of stay with no refund being issued for unused nights.
Please note that most properties are outfitted with outdoor security cameras.
Cancellation Policy:
If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that are made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival will receive a 100% refund minus a $250 cancellation fee. Between (29) days and fifteen (15) days before arrival, guest will be refunded 50% of the reservation amount. (14) days or less to arrival, no refunds given.
For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date to receive a 100% refund minus a $250 cancellation fee Cancellations made between thirty one (31) days in advance of your arrival and (59) days will receive a 50% refund.
Trip insurance is available for purchase and is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

Overall it was a great stay. The unit could have used more blankets in the living area. We love this complex.

We used it as a home base for skiing Silverton. Quiet area right next to Purgatory skiing too.

Pros: Super close to Purgatory Ski Resort. Small village. Within steps of condo neighborhood hottub. Warm, good bed sizes with private bathrooms. Close and available parking. Management company and HOA very responsive. Nice fireplace and patio. Washer and dryer works well.
Cons: Dated condo. Upstairs is tricky with ice and ski gear. Hard to keep entry area clean with snow boots. Heaters very loud all through the night. Dead flies in bathroom and on bed upon arrival. Kitchen utensils/gadgets very, very dated. Wifi and cable had very spotty service. Remote to change Netflix channels missing button. 25 minutes from Durango, but close small grocery/gas station nearby. Iron storm/screen door hard to prop open when had are full going up the stairs with ice/de-icer all over the ground.
