About this chalet rental
Our year-round cabin is on a small 32-acre pond in New Hampshire. It is truly heaven on earth. We have over 100 feet of direct waterfront. There is a 6 foot main dock, and a small fishing dock off to the side (in summer months). The fishing on our pond gets rave reviews! Most people catch and release, but please follow NH fishing laws: 16+ needs a license. The property sits on 1/3 of an acre, on a sloped hill.
For Skiing and snowboarding, we are 30 min to Mount Sunapee, 20 min to Crotched, and 15 min to Pat's Peak!
The space
This A-Frame is approx 1000 sq ft. It is a 2-bedroom, 1 full bath home. The home is year-round/heated, with a wood-burning fireplace. There is no A/C. One queen bedroom is located on the main floor. The kitchen/dining/living area are an open space. The sofa is the living area does pull out to a sofa bed if needed. Upstairs is a small loft overlooking the main area, and a 2nd bedroom. The 2nd bedroom includes 2 twin beds, with 2 twin mattresses underneath for additional sleeping (if you move them to the loft). There is also a small finished fort upstairs, which includes a monitor for gaming. There is a slider off of the living area that goes out to the main deck. This deck overlooks the direct water frontage. There is an unfinished basement with our personal belongings in it.
Guest access
100% of the space is yours during renting. The washer/dryer is in the basement, most of the stuff down there is our personal belongings...tools, etc. you are welcome to borrow items, but please be respectful. If you break something, things happen, but please let us know of any issues during your stay so that we can address them.
This property is NOT handicap accessible. Once you park, you must take stairs down to the property. This does not allow easy access for wheelchairs etc.
Wear a life jacket in the water or on the boats!
No fireworks or parties!
Other things to note
There is a 4-person hot tub outside. There are two single kayaks, one double-kayak, two child-size kayaks, and a paddle board - you are welcome to use. These are kept outside, so don't be surprised if an occasional spider finds its way in! There are life jackets in the outdoor storage box, please use. Please return things where you found them!

The home was even better than the pictures if that’s even possible. We loved the home, and proximity to the mountains. It has absolutely everything we wanted in a rental for a long weekend. Definitely will rebook for a summer weekend for sure. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Emily’s cozy home - our first time in an A-frame! Such a perfect location and the perfect spot for our Thanksgiving getaway. Emily was so welcoming and responsive - there was even a little bottle of prosecco to greet us upon arrival. It snowed on our last day which made everything look even more magical. Would definitely stay again!
