About this cottage rental
As you enter the cottage, the hallway is light and well decorated and leads to the good sized kitchen and lounge. The lounge has a window and French doors overlooking the garden area (table and chairs are provided) making this a very light room. There are two leather settees, oak dining table & four chairs, TV, and CD player and plenty of lamps.
The kitchen is again a good light room and has plenty cupboard and worktop space. There is a fridge/freezer, gas cooker, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave etc.
Upstairs there are two pretty bedrooms, one large twin room and a smaller double room. The twin room is very spacious and has two single beds (which can be made up as a super-king for an additional charge), wardrobe, drawers, and bed-side cabinets. The double room is cosy and has a double bed, wardrobe, drawers and coordinating bed linen and curtains.
The newly fitted bathroom has bath with shower over, w.c. and wash hand basin again a very light room.
The apartment is conveniently situated a stones throw from Booth's supermarket (which has an electric car charging point) and the E-Venture shop for easy bike hire.
Being only about 15 yards away from Quaver Cottage may prove ideal for two families wishing to holiday together but not wanting to be in the same house.

Stayed at Elm Cottage a number of times as great location so don’t need to go out in the car as everything on the doorstep and you have a designated parking space. Only comment I would make is there are a number of excellent places to purchase food including the market but would like a bread knife that actually cut bread, and if that is sorted for our next stay next month that would be appreciated. The fact we have already booked again confirms a great place.

There was only one fault and that was the settees were really uncomfortable for us and we couldn’t relax otherwise everything else was spot on

Booked online at very short notice and received confirmation almost immediately. Keswick Cottages provide comprehensive details of checking in, key safe number, wifi code, recommendations for things to do etc. They are very helpful when contacted by phone with any questions we had. This was our second visit to Elm Cottage and was equally enjoyable; it is clean, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and very quiet. A reserved car parking space right outside the cottage is an added bonus.
We have stayed in several properties in Keswick and this would be always our first choice if available for our next visit.
The company provide a friendly and professional service and, as a local agency, are very knowledgeable about their properties.
We would certainly recommend both the company and Elm Cottage itself.

The cottage is in a brilliant location.
On arrival we entered the cottage the sofas are very tired and dirty as it was late l gave them a clean but they where uncomfortable and could do with replacing . The bathroom the toilet is very high and have someone in our party that is only 5 ft found it very uncomfortable to use. The bath need replace as the coating on it is broken and it looks very dirty . For the premium price we payed we did not feel this time it was worth the money
