About this cottage rental
This unit is right next to the beautiful Chesapeake Bay. There's a house in between us and the beach, but there are no roads to cross, just jump on the new boardwalk and it will take you right to the beautiful wide sandy beach!
This one bedroom Beach Side unit features one Queen size bed, and a twin bed all in the large master bedroom.
We have high speed WiFi and a large 50 inch Smart TV for your entertainment.
Parking is directly outside your door and you can self check in and out with our combination lock system.
Even with a bit of modernizing this property is a historical home that is now over 85 years old. It has some eccentricities that reflect building standards and designs from the turn of the last century that lends to its charm as an older beach cottage. Even so, we hope that you will love our older and charming "Cozy Bay View".
We are right next to the public beach access with a new boardwalk that will take you right to the beach.
Our kitchen is fully stocked with a stove, refrigerator, microwave and toaster so you can easily prepare your meals. We have a bar area for dining with 3 bar stools. We have just installed a new leather sofa with a power reclining system.
Quiet hours begin at 9 PM. We are pet friendly with appropriate fees.
This is a Family/Residential unit and area. No parties or loud music or noise.

This unit is one of 3 units subdivided in this Historical 1950's era home. Nothing is shared as each unit has it's own parking as well as its own entrance and exit.
There is a free public marina with 3 concrete boat ramps only a few blocks away and we have plenty of off-street parking for boats/trailers and vehicles.

Property was clean and well appointed. Love that it was pet-friendly.
Would definitely consider staying again.
Would recommend.
Suggestions: replace carpet with laminate or hard wood floors - would be easier to clean and hypoallergenic. Blinds on the windows would help the natural lighting and privacy.

It was a work weekend and the cottage was close to the job. (We’re out of Richmond Va)Reason for the 4 star on the listing:Showed the bedroom with 2 double beds and 1 single bed. Actually there are only 1 double and 1 single. No worries though we made it work and it was perfect for us. Will probably book again if y’all will have us.Thanks for letting us stay.

The host was nice. The AC was not adequate and it didn’t get above 72 degrees out. There are three houses between this location and the beach. There’s no back door area, it opens up to the road. It is, however on the same side of the road as the bay. The “laundry” is literally a laundromat he told me about when I texted and asked about where the washer and dryer are. It’s really is a decent place to stay. One of the pictures is misleading. It’s a twin bed and a double bed. There’s no outside table (it was at the dwelling next door it is a three plex with #2 on the end). The host/hostess were nice via message, did not meet them (which is understandable just commenting they were responsive). The beach behind the house has rocks a few meters off the shore line but a few hundred feet down is pretty beach that is much more private than most. Thanks!

The unit was very clean and was accurate as described on the site. It was just a short walk to the sandy beach of the Chesapeake Bay. Our biggest complaint was the air conditioning. There was only one small window A/C unit in the bedroom. It was not enough to keep the unit comfortable. We had to place fans in the hall area to pull cool air into living area which is where another bed was located. It stayed uncomfortably warm in the unit (76-80 degree). It was hot outside, but only around low 90’s so not so hot that a properly cooled home should be able to keep comfortable.
