Think Legoland, Bok Tower, Disney World, Universal Studios, Gulf Coast and Atlantic Beaches, Biking, Hiking and Ecotourism! Or visit Dinosaur World (Exit 19 -I-4). Stay in comfort in your spacious studio cottage with full kitchen & bath, and delicious aquifer well water. Truly spacious and private inside and out (in a 10 acre rural setting). Ground level entry and no stairs!
Situated on picturesque Ridge Scenic Highway at Starr Lake, on the ecologically unique Lake Wales Ridge (hundreds of lakes, rolling hills, and ancient flora & fauna). Central Florida is well known for its many Golf Courses and lakes with great bass fishing and there’s always room for boat-trailer parking right on site.
12 minutes to Legoland Florida; 8 minutes to famous Bok Tower Gardens (daily carillon recitals and a brilliant kid's play space); 45 minutes to Disney World's theme parks and nighttime entertainment. Universal Studios, Harry Potter and Orlando International Airport all easily reached in under an hour. 70 Minutes to Tampa, Ybor City nightlife, Busch Gardens (awesome coasters), and Tampa Airport; 90 Minutes to the Gulf Coast Beaches (sunsets) or Atlantic Beaches (sunrises).
Surrounded by orange groves and u-pick blueberry and peach orchards, your cottage is situated on a private 10 acre family homestead. Public Transportation to Legoland and other area attractions stops hourly an easy 1/2 mile walk from here. Close to grocery shops and regional mall, multiplex theatre, bowling, and many unique family owned restaurants, we are fully outfitted with a 20 K watt natural-gas generator which provides uninterrupted power in any weather condition.
For aviation enthusiasts, learn to fly Para-gliders/Ultralights at Lake Wales Municipal Airport (10 minute drive), EAA 'Sun n' Fun' fly-in is at Lakeland Linder Airport for a week each April (40 minute drive); and, there's plenty of great 'drop-zones' for anyone who can't wait to jump out of a perfectly good airplane ;). Working in Lake Wales: Citrus World, Merlin Entertainment; Winter Haven: State Farm, or Haines City? Our location is an easy drive, bus or bike ride to many work or play destinations. For old world Florida tourism, check out Gatorland, Dinosaur World, or Silver and Weeki Wachee Springs.
Ample on-site parking, picnic table and chairs, and you're welcome to stroll the grounds and stake out your favorite tanning spot. Host's family lives adjacent to your accommodations and we'll greet you upon arrival, get you situated and be great neighbors should you need anything at anytime.
Quiet, private & peaceful location to chill-out and decompress after fun-filled days "doing the theme parks" or "hitting the beaches." Wi-fi, HD Antenna TV, and AM/FM radio are standard amenities and cell phone service is fair -to- good for our rural setting. Lots of eclectic, family owned restaurants to discover in town, and limitless opportunities to get into nature at local state and county parks and wilderness preserves.

What a magnificent cottage! Everything you can possibly need is made available by these excellent hosts. Greg was fantastic during check in, and he gave me a quick tour of the property. The room is neat, tidy, and well appointed with a full kitchen plus a table for four. The sofa seating area is comfortable and nice for watching television or enjoying a conversation over tea. The Murphy bed was a fun extra but it was also very comfortable. The setting is serene, peaceful, and quiet. Easy access to local amenities and restaurants.

Clean and comfortable little place we booked it cause it’s near lego land. It was a fair price and the hosts had great communication and are very nice.
