About this house rental
Directly on the sandy beach of Torvaianica is this former castle (1600), which is now a vacation home. The house is unique in its kind, located in the middle of a nature reserve, with a fenced garden bordering the open beach. Right by the cottage there is a large equipped area with gazebo facing the sea, where you can enjoy the sun in total privacy, protected by hedges. From all the rooms of the former castle and from the terrace on the second floor you have a beautiful view of the sea and between the two castle towers the view goes from the sea to the coast with the nature reserve area to the village of Torvaianica. The property is fenced and has an internal covered parking. The housekeepers live in the dependence in front of the main gate. Fly screens on all windows. The former castle offers unique vacation experiences in a historic building, ideal to spend relaxing days by the sea. The center of Torvaianica with stores of all kinds is within easy walking distance. On the promenade there are bars, restaurants, boat rentals, a sailing school and possibility for kite surfing. The location is ideal to spend relaxing vacations by the sea and visit the beautiful city of Rome, which is only 30 km away. In 1 km there is a famous amusement water park and for the fashion lovers in 15 km there is the biggest outlet of Lazio with the most important Italian and international brands. The airport of Fiumicino is 25 km away and that of Ciampino 33 km.

Nine of us rented for a week and loved the house and grounds. The property looks like all the photos and is located in the perfect place for excursions to Ostia Antica, Frascati, Castle Gandolfo, Anzio, Ponza and day trips to Rome. Rooms are well appointed, baths well laid out and kitchen very well equip to feed lots of people. The upper deck became our yoga room and dinners under the setting sun on the large terrace were perfect. The only concerns are that the beach out front isn't private but you can rent umbrellas and chairs. Also, the two downstairs bedrooms have to have the shutters closed at night for security and that can make it warm. If bars were put on just one window in each room it would be lovely listening to the surf and feeling the breeze. We liked it so much we are planning a yoga retreat there next year!
