Situated in the beach town of Tamarindo, this spectacular house overlooks the breathtaking blue waters of the Pacific Ocean and the estuary. As its name suggests, Sunset House is the perfect spot to take in the beautiful Guanacaste sunsets.
Sunset House’s indoor-outdoor tropical living plan showcases five beautiful bedrooms and an infinity pool that wraps around the terrace, offering breathtaking views of the ocean and the estuary. This villa sleeps 14 guests in comfort and style and it is an ideal luxury retreat for families, friends, wellness travelers, retreats, wedding groups and private corporate groups.

The primary bedroom (1) has incredible ocean views and features a king-size bed, a full ensuite bathroom with double sinks, an oceanview desk, a sitting area, a walk-in closet, and smart TV.
The main bedroom (2) has ocean views and includes a king-size bed, a full ensuite bathroom with double sinks, a desk, and smart TV.
Bedroom 3 includes a king-size bed and a full ensuite bathroom
Bedroom 4 /Kids Bedroom has two bunk beds with twin XL mattresses and two pull-out beds, sleeping six people total. It also has a full ensuite bathroom and double desk.
Bedroom 5 is a separate suite near the pool and has a king-size bed, jungle view, full ensuite bathroom, desk, and private terrace.
The pool overflows spectacularly towards the ocean view, and the deck has several lounges to relax and enjoy the view and one of the bests sunsets in Costa Rica.
In 2024, we decided to turn Sunset House into the ultimate paradise for wellness travelers, including a small outdoor gym with some weights, an ocean-view sauna, an ocean-view ice bath, a massage/hammock area suspended in the air with ocean-view and an ocean view yoga room with A/C.

This Guanacaste beach town lies at the heart of Costa Rica’s Gold Coast Beaches. Tamarindo is famous for its beautiful beach with unparalleled surf and has grown into a miniature metropolis – a thriving and culturally diverse community known for year-round warm weather and constant adventure and outdoor activities.
The beach and town are within walking distance, but car or golf cart rental is highly recommended.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with family at Sunset House. We wanted to stay in Tamarindo and Sunset House stood out because it was within walking distance to town/the beach and the pictures of the house/views were incredible. Karina, your primary contact, responded quickly to any and all questions. She was there to greet us, which I think she does because she loves seeing people’s faces when they walk through the front door for the first time and see that SPECTACULAR view. The pictures are great but can’t compare to actually standing there and seeing it all in person. After giving us a tour of house, she explained that Geovanna, our housekeeper/cook would be there in the morning along with Gama who would be doing outdoor and pool maintenance. Celia (security person) was around in the evening to make sure all was well. It was nice knowing she was there but we NEVER felt unsafe at the house, in town or on the beach. The house, and the staff were incredible. Geovanna was there every day by 7:00 am and made wonderful breakfasts, did our laundry and kept the inside of the house straightened up. We did rent two golf carts which was a great way to get into and around town and for the quick trips down the hill to the beach. Probably the most spectacular aspect of the house, comes from its name, Sunset House. The SUNSETS are AMAZING. Make sure you are back on the patio at the end of the day to take it all in. I could go on and on. Just go, you won’t be disappointed.

The pictures of this place do not do it justice. When you walk in the door and turn and see the ocean view it will take your breath away. We had 4 couples and we all will be back. The staff was amazing and they were always available at any moment we had a question.
Joanna was an amazing cook for us at breakfast and took great care of our laundry every day.
The facilities are top notch and and the suggested chefs were out of this world.
Karina is a excellent host and can’t say enough about how wonderful she was.
