About this house rental
This charming 1910 Maine cottage is located in the exclusive Hersey Retreat area of Sandy Point and offers stunning water views from many rooms. Thoughtfully remodeled while maintaining its classic coastal character, this home provides plenty of space for families and groups to gather and relax!
Main Floor: Fully stocked kitchen, quaint dining room with direct access to the patio, cozy living room with large windows and a propane fireplace, bedroom with a queen bed and patio access, bedroom with a Full XL bed, and one full bathroom with a standalone tub, a shower, as well as a washer and dryer. The iron and ironing board are also located in that bathroom.
Upper Floor: Spacious tower bedroom with a queen bed. There is also a half bathroom (toilet and sink only) located on this level of the home.
Apartment Level: Living room, kitchenette, bedroom with two twin beds, full bathroom with shower, and a large couch that can also be used as a sleeping space. Access to the apartment level is through a separate exterior entrance; there is no interior access from the main house.
Important: The three bedrooms in the main house share the one full bathroom with tub/shower located on the main floor. The upstairs half bathroom does not include a shower. The second shower is located in the separate apartment-level guest suite, which is accessed through its own exterior entrance.

We did not want to leave!!! Everything we needed was there. The view is sooooo incredible and we loved the fire pit!! Having the washer and dryer was a plus. The stairs were just a bit of a challenge for the older siblings but soo worth the climb once inside. Having a bedroom on ground level worked out for us as well!! Definitely would book again!! Responses were fast and instructions great!! Thanks for a great visit!!

We enjoyed staying here. This was more than just a rental property - it was a home. The little things made the stay - from the bathroom and sink gift boxes to the additional toilet paper and trash bags. We did not have to shop for anything. The view was incredible. Our only suggestion -the mattress on the bed adjacent to the living room. It is fine for one but with 2 people, it is not supportive in the middle. This did not deter our stay though. Fabulous experience and would stay again

My wife and I had a wonderful short stay (2 nights). The little touches and courtesy were appreciated.
Clean and well kept interior and exterior.
Welcoming outdoor spots on the patio or beach porch to enjoy the peaceful views of Penobscot Bay.
If there is one small recommendation, that would be to upgrade the first floor bedroom mattress, which was overly soft and non-supporting. This would not preclude us from visiting again as the 2nd floor bedroom mattress is firm.
