About this cabin rental
When visiting Fredericksburg our hope is that you come to relax and enjoy your quiet time here! If that is your goal as well, we have the perfect place for you- Wine Cup Cabin found just a few miles south of Fredericksburg.
The logs found throughout this wonderful cabin are from Mayfield, Kentucky and date back to the late 1800s. Your hosts are sixth generation Texans with rich and local history. They enjoy sharing their beautiful hill country views and wildlife with their guests. Inside this cozy cabin, more history awaits. The tin and barn wood your hosts bought from Art, Texas just outside of Mason is over 100 years old. When they bought the little kitchen cabinet, they were told that it once belonged to Jim Hogg and the pie safe is an old Texas piece bought in Fredericksburg. Notice the loft-the chickens are very happily sitting on antique chicken cages. Every time you enter you will discover another new and interesting piece of history.
The living room has a very comfy leather sofa placed to enjoy the wood fireplace, smart television, and DVD. There is a coffeebar plus a small refrigerator and microwave. In the bedroom, find a king bed topped with a country quilt and pillows. There is a large corner whirlpool tub in the bedroom. The old dresser is where you will find the bathroom sink.
Enjoying the front porch will be a special treat with its comfy chairs and beautiful plants—and then there is the awesome countryside to enjoy with deer, ducks and birds plus anything else that might wander by. There is even a pair of binoculars on the porch for you to get that close up look.
The home is dog-friendly and will accept up to two dogs. However, there is a pet fee of $27/dog/night. Due to the fact that HomeAway/VRBO does not allow us to charge for more than one dog at the time of booking, please let us know if you will be bringing more than one dog, so that we can make sure that you are charged the correct amount. If you bring more than one dog and do not let us know, you will be charged accordingly. Furthermore, please bring crates for your dogs and crate them in your absence from the house, do not allow the dogs on furniture or beds, and pick up and properly dispose of their waste. If these rules are not followed, there will be an additional $200 charge added to your reservation.
Things to be aware of:
*The bathroom has an accordion style door.
*There is a camera on the front of the cabin and it faces the front porch and front door of the cabin.
Please Note: You are renting a cabin in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee no pests or bugs will be visible.

This cabin was every bit of what I hoped! Great ad description and pics. I chose it for:
-Log cabin, rustic ambience - cool history, peaceful country location!
-King bed - super comfortable!
-Real Fireplace - wonderful!
Delighted it had dishes and utensils. Great mini fridge with independent freezer. The HVAC is powerful. Didn't use the K cup coffee maker.
The use of the dresser for the vanity and the other piece that makes the kitchen area is ingenious (although be careful washing dishes in the porcelain "kitchen" sink!)! Love the design of the cabin; would appreciate a roomier, more secluded toilet area. Neat details and art.
When you take a bath in that tub, you'll understand... !
The leather sofa is totally perfect! The fireplace is the showstopper; works wonderfully!
My mom and I sat by the fire watching the Olympics on TV and played chinese checkers while the rain pitter-pattered on the metal roof! Coffee on the front porch watching the sunrise was spectacular.
Spacious and relaxing for a single. Perfect and intimate for a couple.

Clean room, staff, amenities as well as the peaceful scenery and cute family of deer. The walking tour of downtown Fredericksburg on Main Street is less than 10 miles away. Love it and WILL return.

Our third time staying at the cabin. Love it. Drank coffee on the porch and watched the deer roam the ranch. The barbecue pit was missing the grill. I called the number provided and before you know it I had a brand new grill sitting outside. Wonderful I appreciate it. Thank you..
