Studio Métro Ourcq Paris 19eme

Property was well equipped with useful appliances. No check in/out flexibility. It’s on the 4th floor at the inner side of a residencial building with a few restaurants and shows downstairs. Overall location is excellent near the canal l’ourq and had a great residencial feel. The property was clean, but the sofa bed mattress is definitely waned out, which makes the stay quite uncomfortable in the long run. Also, as a typical Parisian apartment, the shower drainage gets stuck most of the time. Electricity also failed a couple of times when using different appliances at the same time. It does have a express coffee maker which is a positive thing, but the small freezer within the fridge had ice stuck, so I could barely use that. A few elements that are typically not considered because it’s not *inside the property* but directly affect the life of the renter. 1. There is kebab restaurant downstairs and their back door is just on the entrance so often they would be cutting meat with the door opened or even the through trash in the bins that attracted bugs and left a bad smell. 2. They had a full renovation of the building while I was there so for 10 days they were polishing and painting the walls which gave me an allergy and I had to spend 3 nights somewhere else. I also asked the workers multiple times how much time that would last and they couldn’t say. Overall, felt I should have been told upfront about this remodeling particularly when paying such a high price.
