Elegant Back Bay Brownstone-Comm Av 1+ Bed - 1 Week Min, beyond 2 wks considered

This was our first trip to Boston and we were so happy about our lodging! We knew from the pictures that the property was appealing, but we had no idea how superb the location would be. And our host, Therese, was fabulous.Property: absolutely gorgeous...a stately, beautifully maintained brownstone provided the perfect environment for cozy evenings at home. We had everything we needed for meal prep and entertainment. The property offered us a relaxed home away from home for our stay.Location: You have absolutely everything you need within 10 minutes walk. Trader Joe's, other groceries, Levain bakery, deli, churches, boutiques, high end shopping, subway....We enjoyed walking down Commonwealth Avenue to the public gardens. What an incredibly beautiful area the city has created and this brownstone sits right in the middle of it.Host: thank you, Therese, for meeting us there, welcoming us, giving us information about the area and being completely available for communications before and during our stay. You are a host with a great gift... making others feel welcome in your home. We appreciate you!

Great location, very comfy.

Therese is a great host. The condo is beautifully decorated, well stocked. The location is great. Close to everything downtown, Boston Common, The public garden.

Likes: Great location, able to walk to everything. Easy pick up/drop off with ride share cars. Owner was responsive and easy to communicate with. Dislikes: extremely loud. The alleyway behind the unit is extremely noisy at all hours, especially during the early morning hours with deliveries to the business that share the alley. The main bedroom is direct exposure to the alley.The "futon" in the description was changed prior to our arrival with a inflatable twin bed couch thing. Air mattresses are for camping, not 1 week stays.The owner lives in the unit full time, rents it out for events. We were there for the marathon. It was just different then our usual VRBO experience with all the closets full of clothes and family portraits everywhere.main bedroom double bed was like sleeping on the floor, extremely hard and uncomfortable. Cold - the old radiant heater system could not keep up with the low temperatures - 30's at night.....
