DETAILS: Spoil yourself in this newly renovated home with great ocean views. This home offers 8 Bedrooms and 8.5 baths plus private pool with hot tub, sunning deck and outdoor grilling and entertaining area with a fire pit. The pool/hot tub can be heated for an additional fee but will only get between 84 to 87 degrees. This is the perfect place for your family and friends! The home also offers living room newly remodeled gourmet kitchen with extra refrigeration and ice makers dining room downstairs den and playroom; expansive screened and open porches with rockers, observation deck which gives you unbelievable views of the ocean; 2 master suites with whirlpool tubs, elevator gas fireplace, wet bar with ice maker and high-speed internet access. NO SMOKING. There is a $1500 surcharge to heat the pool/hot tub, and when heated it will reach between 84-87 degrees. Please give a 48-hour notice if you would like to heat the pool/hot tub. Please adhere to the no smoking and no pet policy set forth by the owner.

MAXIMUM VEHICLES: The maximum number of cars allowed for this property is 6. The DeBordieu Colony Community Association charges each vehicle a $20 fee to enter the community, up to a maximum matching the number of bedrooms in the vacation rental property.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP: This home has a Sports Membership, which gives you access to the 2 community pools at the Beach Club, dining, tennis and a champion Pete Dye golf course. A temporary club membership can be arranged for $200 a day. These costs do not cover individual amenity fees, like green fees. Tolater is wonderful house that accommodates a large family for a great beach/pool week! We spend an equal amount of time outdoors and indoors and enough room and activities to suit all ages. The bikes from peace vacation is an added bonus to get around the neighborhood and to good fishing spots.

The Tolater has great bedroom/ bathroom configuration, comfortable gathering space for large groups, an efficient kitchen, and a pool!! This year, however, it was showing some wear. The rugs and carpets are noticeably stained. The second dishwasher was out of order and not fixed for our week or several weeks before ours. Water drips through the vent hood over the stove and there are leak stains on the kitchen ceiling. There is nowhere to hang towels (or only one hook) in most of the bathrooms which is curious. It is such a perfect house for our family and we have enjoyed it for years. Here's hoping it gets some attention before next summer.

My group of 8 golfers all agreed that this house was our best lodging in our 19 years of annual golf outings. We had trouble with one of the dishwashers but maintenance responded right away. The only negative event occurred one night with a front gate security person. One of our guys went to dinner with local friends, and the guard informed them they could not re-enter DeBordieu after dinner to bring him to the house, because we had not registered with Peace. The security guard's logic was especially stupid because the locals had been allowed to come in to pick up their friend before dinner, and all we did was call the front gate. I was able to go see the guard and resolve the problem, but it was a very unfriendly situation.

We have stayed in this house for many years. (8-10) We were very disappointed to see that the pantry was locked (major inconvenience). A house that accommodates 21 people needs more than a few shelves. We only had 11 spoons and forks when all were clean. The icemaker did not work (major inconvenience).
We did enjoy the upgrades (bathrooms).
