About this cabin rental

Beautiful spacious cabin in Cooper Creek Wildlife Management Area (WMA). The cabin is on a hill with a hike down of about 300 ft to reach our over 500 feet of creek frontage on one of No GA's premier trout creeks. Cooper Creek is wide, trout-stocked, and always flowing. This cabin has mountain views, creek views and is on 6 acres of mountain property. Close to waterfalls, Toccoa River, the Appalachian Trail and many wineries. The cabin is about 20 miles from Blairsville, the quaint mountain village of Blue Ridge, and Lake Blue Ridge.

The all wood interior of the cabin (not an inch of sheet-rock here!) has 2 bedrooms, a sleeping loft and two large bathrooms. Each bathroom has double sink vanities. It comfortably sleeps 6. (One king bed, 1 queen bed and 1 double size futon in sleeping loft.) Washer and Dryer are available upon request. The cabin is decorated in a rustic-industrial-contemporary style.

The two story open concept great room features a soaring fireplace, and has has direct access to decks, the kitchen, dining area, and it is open to the staircase leading to second level sleeping lot and master suite.

There are generous decks (covered and open) on three sides of this D-log cabin. The decks are equipped with two lockable gates so that large areas of the contiguous upper deck can be secured. The front porch also has a lockable gate. A concrete patio runs the full length of the back of the cabin on the lower level, which has a 6-person Hot Tub. There is a gorgeous stone outdoor fireplace on an additional patio that runs perpendicular to the the covered patio.

A wide, graveled switchback enables direct access for those physically fit, to the primary creek area. Please be aware that the switchback is steep; we have equipped it with benches and other resting spots along the way. At the creek area, you will find ample seating, a grill and fire pit. There are great fishing spots in this creek and our guests can walk the creek freely on "our side" for up to 500 feet. There is a visible "End of Rider Property" sign.

We have created a walking trail right off the creek switchback, for our guests so they can traverse across our recently added 3 acres of property. The end of the trail provides a beautiful reward for that hike, as you can enjoy beautiful restful views of Cooper Creek.

Please be aware that this cabin is dog friendly (see also Rules regarding number, weight limit, and pet fees). Also, be aware that regardless of rigorous routine cleaning, the complete elimination of pet hair, dander, etc is near impossible. If you or any of your guests have pet allergies , you may want to ensure that you take allergy medicine, or find a rental not allowing pets. Be aware that by reserving, you are committing to follow all Rules, including Pet Rules. Be sure to read all Rules in the Policies and Agreements section.

It's starting to feel like our second home! Jana wants to come back in the fall, as you know. Why just go one time a year? Sean, we really appreciate all the hard work you put into making this cabin experience one of a kind! Again, thank you for sharing this wonderful place!

I had a few questions prior to arrival and Sean and Deb responded immediately. Instructions were sent ahead of time regarding check-in and check-out, which made the processes seamless. Upon arrival to this beautiful cabin, we found so much information for anything you may wonder about the cabin/surrounding areas. It was fully stocked with anything you may need. We enjoyed feeding the deer, hiking around the property, fishing the creek (caught many trout), the hot tub, playing the games that were provided, and just sitting outside and soaking in the beauty and sounds. This is a wonderful place to unwind. We did not want to leave, but look forward to getting back to this cabin in the future.

The cabin was immaculate, incredibly comfortable, and had everything we could need - pictures do not do it justice! We were absolutely spoiled by how much deck space this place has - I spent hours outside reading and listening to the birds and the creek. We enjoyed feeding the deer each evening and enjoyed seeing lots of wildlife - hummingbirds, racoons, a mama doe with her fawn, and even a baby bear cub! My husband caught at least a dozen rainbow trout in the creek the week we were there, and I spent a lot of time in the hammock. With not just one, but TWO trails down to the creek area - it was like we had our own private slice of a state park. The hot tub was the perfect way to soak our muscles after hiking, and the beds were more comfortable than ours at home. And boy, do these hosts know how to decorate! There is beautiful custom wooden artwork EVERYWHERE - even on the trail signs! It was the most luxurious cabin we've stayed so far and we've already booked again for next year.
