About this house rental
Beautifully updated family friendly 1913 island bungalow only two and a half blocks from the beach and entertainment. This 2 bedroom, 1 bath cozy home features fully equipped kitchen and bath, granite counter tops, stainless appliances, hardwood floors throughout, central HVAC, washer/dryer and Smart Roku TV is provided. The cottage has 2 bedrooms ( queen bed in one and 2 twins in the other). The cozy living room has a memory foam queen sleeper sofa. The kitchen is fully-equipped with all you'll need for your stay - pots, pans, dishes, flatware, coffee maker, blender, microwave and basic staples (salt, pepper, sugar, cream). The interior is beach cozy contemporary and is a blend of antique and modern furnishings including ship-lapped walls and exposed brick. . Other amenities include a vintage styled bathroom with ball and claw tub/shower combo, and a stackable washer/dryer. Great front porch for evening relaxing! Hosting and customer service is what we do best! We will make sure to check in with our guests via VRBO messenger when you arrive, but otherwise, we will leave you to explore the island and enjoy the Cottage on Avenue Q's amenities. We are always available 24/7 via messenger during your stay in case you have any questions or concerns. Don't miss out staying in this wonderful charming home!

This was our 3rd year in a row at this precious cottage! It is exactly as described. The air conditioning is cold, the beds are comfortable and it so clean. You will not be disappointed! THANK YOU for another fabulous mini vacation!

The Cottage on the Q was a cozy stay. Perfectly located on a fairly quiet street, the cottage is classic Galveston: old bones, sticky doors, a little bit of sand on the floors, and great design. If you are staying in the dead heat of summer, be warned that the AC struggles. The furniture in the living room photographed better than it looked in person...chairs are worn and stained. Nicely appointed kitchen. Master bedroom is small, but has everything one needs to be comfortable. Overall, a nice stay!

Very clean and great location. AC worked nicely and the kitchen was well equipped. The neighbors were QUIET which was very nice. Internet did not work despite host troubleshooting it which we appreciated (the signal strength was good and it kept saying we were connected but nothing worked on our devices or the smart TV in the home). We have kids and enjoy our bit of veg time on vacation so it was a bummer to not be able to stream movies and TV. There were a lot of floorboards that we're rotted in places and smoke detectors were disabled. The dryer left black marks on a few items of clothing. I let the host know and they said they were already aware. I wish I had been aware .
