“Ramsey West Unit” is a popular 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom townhouse that is less than three houses back from the ocean and a short stroll to Johnnie Mercer’s Pier. Pack your fishing gear and spend your day casting a line or enjoy the sun and ocean views from the decks. The wonderful central location has made this duplex a favorite place to make family memories for decades!
The open floor plan creates a wonderful gathering space for families and warmly welcomes you to the home. The living room is furnished with a large Roku-enabled TV so you can watch all your favorite shows as you relax on the sectional sofa. A large sliding glass door floods the room with natural light and the first-floor deck off the living room provides magnificent ocean views. The kitchen overlooks the dining table and living room so the chef in the family can join in on conversation while preparing meals. There is a convenient full bathroom on this level that can be accessed from the hallway or the adjoining bedroom. The first-floor bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed.
Upstairs is the primary bedroom which has a cozy king-sized bed, a private deck with ocean views, and a private ensuite bathroom. There is a full-sized washer and dryer in the upstairs hallway for added convenience. The third bedroom is furnished with a standalone full-sized bed and a pyramid bunk bed that offers a twin bed over a full. “Ramsey West Unit” is a popular pick for many returning guests as it lends itself to families, provides ample parking, has two decks that have wonderful ocean views, and is just steps from the beach.
For larger family gatherings, rent the adjoining unit W084 Ramsey East Unit, for a total of 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, dining and living areas! There is a connecting first floor door between the East and West units that can be unlocked with advance notice for larger families renting these units in combination. Would def stay here again, only issue was the downstairs remotes didn't work, no batteries but could control the TV with our phones, and not sure if it was the cold temps outside, but the heater would only seemed to get the upstairs hot while the downstairs was freezing!

Stayed in this unit a number of years ago and there has been a change of ownership since (different furniture etc). Clean on arrival. We enjoy this quick watch to the beach or the sound. Amazingly, E. Henderson was more subdued and not noisy this year! One large waterbug and one roach noted, not an infestation and to be expected in this climate.

The location was great, but not the nicest property. The oven and dishwasher didn’t work. We were warned about the oven as we drove down. There was a brand new dishwasher in the living room when we arrived. We obviously arrived during some renovations. We did not wish to have maintenance performed while we were there (especially during covid) so the property management company removed the new dishwasher and we were of course left with the broken one that they meant to replace. The replacement toaster oven was not large enough to hold any of the pans in the kitchen. We told property management co and they bought a new pan for us. It also was too large. Oh and only three of the 4 burners worked on the stovetop.The beds were all very old. There were definite body-indentations. The bedroom on the main level likely has mold, as I woke with a sore throat the the two nights I spent in there. Given the age of the house, and the fact that a hurricane whipped through wrightsville two of the last years, the house has obviously sustained a lot of moisture. The Ac units on the top floor would leak condensation onto the beds. I don’t think there is enough insulation in the house for them to work properly. The two bedrooms on the upper level don’t have adequate curtain coverage to keep out the morning light. The sun shines bright at 6am! On the plus side, the location can’t be beat. Also, there is an outdoor shower with heated water. That was so luxurious! We love wrightsville beach and plan to come back and visit soon. If this is the only property available, I might consider renting it again (even with all its downfalls). I just wouldn’t sleep on the main level. I’d also check to make sure all utilities work! It’s most important during covid times to have a functioning oven.

The location was amazing and loved being so close to the beach. The house itself was okay. The popcorn ceiling is peeling and falling down in spots throughout the house. The master bath has a leak below to the kitchen which drips down a cabinet, hits the microwave, and splashed on the floor, making the kitchen floor slick if you’re not careful. We had an internet issue and had to adjust our plans to make sure we were there for the internet company to come fix it. There’s also construction happening two doors down that begins at 8:30 and and lasts all day. Keep this in mind if you want to sleep in or try to relax in the balcony. Again, the location of the house is fantastic but we aren’t sure we will use this company again.
