About this house rental
Welcome to Wrightsville Beach and welcome to Mason's Cottage! This classic, 5 bedroom 5 bath home is located on the ocean front of the exclusive south end of Wrightsville Beach. From the ground floor, there are 2 bedrooms that each have their own exterior entrances and private baths. The first ground floor bedroom has a queen bed and a day bed (2 twins), while the 2nd ground floor bedroom has 2 twin beds making each of these rooms perfect for the kids. Head up the stairs and enter the main level of the property. To your right, head down the hall and find the master bedroom with king bed. Also located off the hall are 2 more guest rooms, each with 2 full beds, and 2 full baths. For meals and gathering, step to the east side of the home. The kitchen easily flows to the dining and living areas. The dining and living areas are an open floor plan with lots of windows looking over the deck and the ocean. Step outside onto the large, 2 level deck that has plenty of room for relaxing and enjoying the ocean views. For the best view, head up the stairs to the "sippin' porch" for the beautiful sunrises or evening cocktails. The beach is just a few steps down the private beach access path. Listing is as advertised, great location, nice big deck for hanging out at night, nice short walk through the dunes to the beach. We did not use the detached ground floor bedrooms and opted for squeezing all the kids and adults into the 3 bedrooms on the main floor.Great experience, would recommend!

We love this cottage. the new living room furniture is old people can get out of it! The cottage was much cleaner this year, smelled so fresh.Would still like a TV in the master, so we dont have to share with the kids. Already booked for next year!

Mason Cottage is a super clean and comfortable "vintage" cottage on the ocean. The location is perfect. The cottage had plenty of space for our family of 6. One thing to note is that 3 of the bedrooms (including the master) are on the 2nd, main floor. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor with separate entrances to each. The ground floor bedrooms feel more like basement/garage apartments separate from the rest of the home. Our older son stayed in one of the bedrooms. However, if I had younger children, I would not be comfortable having them stay in these bedrooms isolated from the rest of the family. Throughout the cottage, the beds were on the hard side which may be appealing to some but were not comfortable for us. As far as amenities go, beach towels, beach chairs and bikes were not provided so we had to bring our own (rented a bike). The kitchen was nicely stocked. Bed linens are provided but we had to make up all of the beds on arrival which was a different experience for us compared to prior rentals over the years. Overall, we found the cottage charming and well maintained and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

This is listed as a five bedroom five bath house. Two of the bedrooms are in the basement and are Rough. I would not want to sleep down there. You have to go through unfinished areas to access and those two bedrooms are accessed by two separate exterior doors, and do not connect. It’s a nice house with plenty of room but needs a deep cleaning and bug treatment.
