About this house rental
28 Duck Hawk is a five bedroom, five and half bathroom home is located oceanfront in Sea Pines and can sleep up to ten guests.
This home has a large, private pool as well as a hot tub. As long as the temperature doesn't fall below 55 degrees, you are all set to enjoy FREE pool & spa heat typically March through May & September through October (must call office in advance of your stay to confirm and schedule).
You have direct access to the beach from 28 Duck Hawk. Roughly 100 yards to the beach via private beach path – you are greeted with the beautiful beaches of Hilton Head Island.
1st Floor:
Three of the bedrooms are located on the main level of the home, which is elevated up a flight of stairs. The first bedroom has a queen bed with direct access to a porch and steps down to the large pool deck area. It has a flat screen TV and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower.
The second bedroom has a king bed with a flat screen TV. It has direct access to a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The third bedroom has two twin beds and a flat screen TV. This bedroom has a private bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Also on the main level is the full-sized laundry room with a washer and dryer. This home is outfitted with wireless internet access.
Mid-Level:
The master bedroom is located mid-level. It has a king bed and a flat screen TV. It has direct access to one of the many porches this home boasts. There are steps leading from the private porch down to the pool deck area. The private master bathroom has more room than you would ever need! It has a walk-in closet, soaking tub, and separate walk-in shower.
2nd Floor:
The main living room is on this floor has a couple of sofas + a large flat screen TV. Just off the living area is a powder room. There is direct access to yet another porch which will lead you down to the pool deck area as well.
The open kitchen and dining room are just off the living room. The dining room has seating available for up to ten. There is access to the porch off this room where the gas grill is located.
The recently updated open-concept kitchen features stainless steel appliances. It also has a cooktop island with a gas range and bar top seating.
Guest House:
Just steps away from the main home and located off the pool deck area, you will find the guest house. It is a spacious bedroom that has a king bed and a flat screen TV. There is a private bathroom in the guest house with a walk-in shower. Additionally, there is a kitchenette that features a sink, microwave, and full-sized refrigerator.

• Pool/Spa Info: 33 feet by 17 feet. The pool and spa can be heated seasonally at no additional cost. They cannot be heated if temperatures drop below 55 degrees at any point during your stay. Heat is typically available March - May and September - October, weather permitting. The pool cannot be heated during the summer months.

The pool, privacy and location canNOT be beat! One thing we didn't see in other reviews was that the beach during our week (Father's Day) was relatively quiet in front of the house! The public beach access was not very populated, and we were able to have uncrowded beach space every day (including the Juneteenth holiday!). The pool stayed cool the WHOLE week and was so refreshing, and the outdoor shower helped make sure we didn't drag sand through the pool area. As other guests stated, this home has a lot of stairs! We counted 7 "levels" in the main house, so maybe not the most friendly for the smallest children/older grandparents. The "casita" was a lovely hideout for grandparents, but was incredibly humid, and the shower had trouble draining. In the main house, the showers did not get very hot (really warm, but not hot), and the water pressure was adequate. We arrived on time (13 minutes early!), but the final inspection had not been completed (and did not start until after 4), so we had to ask for access to the house, which was quickly granted! The inspection was helpful, and issues were resolved immediately, however, we did have a few follow-up requests for service on the grill (the grease pan was overflowing, the propane tank was empty, but there was a backup, and the grill started multiple grease fires during the first use. There is also only 1 bathtub in the house (the primary bedroom on the most middle floor), so just to be mindful for children! A pack-and-play does fit easily in at least 2 closets and has easy access to outlets for white noise machines and monitors! There also was not a broom, and the vacuum did not work very efficiently, so cleaning up during and after meals was a bit less efficient than at a well-stocked home for children!
