This is not your typical Palm Springs vacation rental. Featured in the latest issue of Atomic Ranch Magazine, this one-of-a-kind mini midcentury resort was designed by West Elm (a division of Williams-Sonoma) as a showcase home for Modernism Week 2017, 2019, 2023, and 2025. Totally reimagined inside and out, the home features a private, resort-style yard with an oversized 7' deep concept pool, integrated waterfall spa, disco lights, tanning shelf, and a raised sun deck offering panoramic mountain views. Enjoy five fire features, three outdoor showers, an outdoor soaking tub, and a covered living pavilion complete with a wet bar, a built-in ice chest, and electric heaters. There's also a bocce ball court, Corn Hole, and a Universal EV charger (available for a fee). This place is off the charts—absolutely incredible.

It was on tour during Palm Springs Modernism Week 2017 and has been featured in Atomic Ranch and California Homes Magazine. Treat yourself to a vacation in this Living Show Room — the perfect “Midcentury to Next-Century Transformation” of an iconic 1950s home originally built by the Alexander Construction Company and then remodeled by Solterra Builders. The Design Team from West Elm used their product line of organic, handcrafted, sustainably sourced sofas, tables, beds, lighting, and accessories to furnish this classic home (circa 1958).

OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES Completely walled for privacy, the entire property feels like an upscale resort with its large concept pool area, outdoor living pavilion, game areas, 5 fire features, 3 outdoor showers, al fresco dining, gas barbecue, and poolside chaise lounges. Sophisticated modern style meets 1950s sensibility to create this fabulous outdoor space that certainly has the Wow Factor. ** The pool will be heated upon request with an additional service fee. Please let us know if you'd like to heat the pool so we can ensure it is heated before your arrival. Spa heating is included with your rental at no extra cost ** ** Please Note: 1. INDOOR LIVING SPACES Absolutely stunning remodel. This property has been lovingly restored, respecting its architectural pedigree while updating it for how we live today. The renovation preserved the original open-concept floor plan, clerestory windows, polished concrete floors, and iconic post-and-beam ceilings, while giving it a completely “next century” makeover with high-speed internet access, an updated climate-control system, 4 Smart Televisions, and iPod charging stations. The entire front and back of the house feature movable walls of glass that blur the lines between indoor and outdoor living in true Palm Springs-style. ** The term "Pets Allowed” or “Pets Accepted" means that we welcome dogs only. No other pets are allowed. **

SLEEPING QUARTERS All of the bedrooms feature ample storage, flat screen televisions, and comfortable king-sized mattresses by Casper, the latest in memory foam sleep systems. The primary bedroom offers a walk-in closet, sitting area, direct pool access, and an en suite bath with dual sinks and a deluxe shower that connects to the outdoors. The two king guest rooms feature their own courtyards - each with a private firepit lounge area, an outdoor shower, and gorgeous mountain views.

West Elm House was a perfect place for us to be together as a family for Christmas! There were 5 of us; there was plenty of room for everyone to be together in one place comfortably and also many different areas inside and out for people to 'get away'. The kitchen had everything we could have wanted - which was important to us - since we would be eating 2 different holiday meals there. It was perfect!

We had an awesome stay at the West Elm house. Every last detail of this home allowed us to relax and enjoy our stay. We ended up canceling restaurant reservations just to stay and enjoy the back yard and perfect setup. We will be back again!
