This spacious LODGE on a private road has 5 on suite king bedrooms, an updated kitchen with a large island, and 2 living rooms. There is plenty of room for everyone. The views are just breathe taking from this home!
THE LODGE at HIGHLANDS is a 2 story home offering 7 Bedrooms total with 5 King Master on-suites, 1 queen sized bedroom and a bunk room. 2 family rooms that sleep a total of 22 guests comfortably in beds.
EVERY ROOM IN THE HOME HAS A 50 OR 60 INCH SMART TV WITH WIFI
This spacious LODGE on a private road has 5 on suite king bedrooms, an updated kitchen with a large island, and with 2 living rooms, there is plenty of room for everyone. But the views are just breathe taking from this home!

Location, Privacy, Views!!!!! PARKING at your front door for 20 cars...and ample parking for RV or whatever you may have. . Beware!! Many houses are very difficult to get into and out of, and have bad parking in the mountains... Our properties allow you to drive up to the front door with luggage, skis, snowboards, groceries. and wheelchairs. nothing like front door service when its snowing out.

Also, perfect year round with endless hiking and mountain bike trails, Down Hill Mountain Biking, White Water Rafting, kayaking, Caving, Cycling, and Ultimate Trout fishing!!

Within a short drive, you can visit Grandfather Mountain State Park for breathtaking views, Downtown Banner Elk for eloquent cuisines and the top of Beech for that down home mountain atmosphere. The Land of OZ, The Highland Games and The Wooly Worm Festival are a don't miss classic to the area. Check out our things to do page it is very informative and we've personally been to all of these places many times..
THERE IS A MASIVE PARKING AREA That accommodates up to 20 vehicles... DURING WINTER MONTHS 4X4 OR SNOW CHAINS
ARE A MUST!! There is one video camera on the parking area outside for security please don’t touch the security camera.. it is fully visible as you drive up..
To accommodate most of our guest we have 7 bedrooms, 5 King en-suite’s , 1 Queen , and 1 bunk room . There are beds for 22 people in this large Lodge. WE PROVIDE BEDDING And TOWELS For 22 Guests. If you have a larger group staying at THE LODGE please bring extra pillows comforters and towels. ALL bathrooms boast large walk-in showers with RAIN-FAll SHOWER HEADS . The kitchen is centrally located on the parking floor with seating for everyone to meet and relax. One of the owners best friends is Handicapped so attention to door size and accessibility to the main floor Kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms and covered areas are thought out.. We hope your family and friends are Blessed by KastleRock as Much as our Family Village Is!!
If you are interested in an additional accommodations nearby, we also have an equal sized house on Gilliam Road. We would be happy to book them together.
Pets are allowed with a $150 dollar pet fee for two pets and $50 for each additional pets...

The host was super responsive, provided insights into the nearby attractions, and was flexible for late checkout. The property is very spacious and provides a great view of the mountains nearby

House was a good size for 15 of us. The back bedroom was so cold the family that stayed there didn't want to go to bed. Most bedrooms had no dresser, bed lamp, closet. Had to live out of their suitcases. Living room was right next to the 4 bunk room where the 4 little ones slept. But adults were talking or playing games and kept them awake.
Views were breath-taking. And snow was a bonus.
Thank goodness for 2 refrigerators and 2 washer/dryers. Just need another dishwasher as we were a large family and had to run the dishwasher 2 times each day.
