About this house rental
Welcome to Yurts at Poncha Pass! Sleep beneath the stars w/ our vaulted domes. Full kitchen, bathroom, hot showers, & gas stoves in living space. Butted up against the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, walk out your door & explore on foot to take in the peaceful beauty & beyond.
Meander up the road to the pond, play disk golf just past the pond, or look up one of our favorite hikes in our guidebook from the property.
Salida is a short 15 min. drive north, hot springs 15 min. south and the great sand dunes an hour south. With so much to do in the area, this makes for the perfect jumping off point while allowing you to relax in the peace and quiet, listening to the coyotes at night and watch the milky way come out in this dark sky area.
Your stay supports sustainable education workshops in the spring and fall as well as affordable housing for young folks in the winter. If you can’t find the dates you are looking for, check out our other yurts “The Iris” & “Sweet Clover”

The yurt property and views are absolutely gorgeous! The yurt is positioned just perfectly to lay in bed and watch the clouds roll over the mountains. It's a very nicely outfitted yurt with all the linens, towels, cooking utensils, fridge, shower, etc you need. The efforts for sustainable living is serious here, and explained to give you the best stay possible.

My husband and I spent a weekend here and it was a great and unique property. It was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The location was a great jumping off point for all the Salida-area has to offer!
