About this house rental

A PLACE THAT FEELS GOOD

Experience what New Mexico travelers hope to find with dark skies, open space, birdsong mornings, peaceful evenings, and genuine Southwestern hospitality rooted in the land, just minutes from Albuquerque.

Nestled along a quiet rural road less than a mile from Historic pre-1937 Route 66, the Casita sits near one of New Mexico’s oldest travel corridors, making it an ideal base for road-trippers, photographers, bird watchers, and travelers drawn to a slower pace. Spend the day exploring Albuquerque, catching a concert, discovering local restaurants, or wandering New Mexico’s wide-open landscapes, then return to the shade of mature pecan and cottonwood trees and peaceful evenings beneath dark skies. Here, the “amenities” are often provided by the land itself: crisp, deep well water, solar-powered living, diverse wildlife, and a quiet that settles in almost immediately. Private enough to slow down and breathe, yet close enough for restaurants, museums, and adventure, Little Bird Casita offers the rare balance of restorative retreat and genuine convenience.

"It's so rare to find a place that feels this far from everything — and yet you're minutes from everything you need." — Guest review

100% solar-powered. Deep-well water, clean, cold, and straight from the tap. A working farm / semi-rural setting with mature trees, an active apiary, and open fields where cranes land and roadrunners appear.

Guests who value thoughtful travel and meaningful places tend to love it here. Your footprint stays light, the land around you feels alive, and yes the water really does taste that good.

Guests are often surprised how quickly they can reach restaurants, concerts, shopping, and Albuquerque attractions while still enjoying a truly peaceful setting. The Little Bird Casita is the kind of place guests often wish they had booked longer.

WHAT GUESTS ARE SAYING
"La Casita is AMAZING! I loved it so much as soon as I walked in… so much I wanted to extend my stay, unfortunately, they were booked out. Super clean space, very beautiful and with lots of personality, amazing views, very spacious and a very well equipped kitchen. Also, David was very responsive, friendly, and attentive.

If you come across this listing, BOOK immediately, you won’t regret it. When I come back to New Mexico I will be staying here again, 100%."

This casita is described as a 2 bedroom and it is not. There is a bedroom upstairs and a pullout sofa downstairs with no door. The coffee maker was filthy and the countertop was dirty. I recommend bringing some Clorox wipes. The decor was darling and the art work is beautiful. It was nice to see all the stars ⭐️ at night.
