Welcome to our newly renovated historic 1-bedroom loft in downtown Roanoke. Part of our Stay Roanoke collection of locally managed stays, this stylish space blends historic charm with modern comfort. Located in the west end of downtown, it features a rooftop patio with views of the Mill Mountain Star and city skyline.
The Space:
416 Campbell avenue is a historic building that was previously used as a legal-aide office. It was renovated by Garland Properties in 2017 and is now home to two 800 Square feet single bedroom apartments and the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. The apartments are secure, quiet, fun and decorated in a modern art deco style. The full kitchen and washer and dryer make the unit a wonderful place to stay for a quick getaway or long-term tenant.
Guest Access:
Guests have full access to their unit and roof top patio. Full kitchen and laundry facilities are included with the apartment.
The Neighborhood:
The west end of downtown Roanoke is home to a diverse blend of residential lofts, breweries, office buildings, arts and culture facilities, parks, greenways, and retail storefronts. Currently our neighborhood is undergoing a revitalization with the addition of newly renovated buildings, restaurants, music venues and small businesses.
Getting Around:
It's very easy to get around downtown Roanoke by walking, biking, or driving. The Roanoke city metro bus has a stop just down the road from the apartment. The Amtrak station is located 5 blocks away on Salem avenue.

The space was comfortable, clean and pleasant and was great for what we were looking for. We (2 of us) needed to work for part of the trip and had room to spread out with good wifi and plenty of outlets. Then, since we were also there to bike, we appreciated that we had room to keep our bikes inside (with very easy access through the back entrance); plus it was a pretty quick ride to the Roanoke River greenway and Mill Mountain trails with some on-road riding (and hills!) in between. Downtown was an easy walk (about 10 mins) for restaurants. A few coffee shops were within walking distance too (always a huge plus) including one right downstairs that didn't open until 10, but was great to have in the afternoons.
