Kitchen is fully equipped , seating at a table for 2. Open parking in private driveway. Some grocery staples included , but designed for fixing your own meals, or dining at any of our fine restaurants . Just half mile down the road there is a small organic grocery store featuring local breads, pies, homemade ice cream, fresh milk, cheeses and produce from our local farms . Also some gift items.

Sweet, cozy cottage with all the amenities needed for a perfect stay. Enjoy morning coffee on the covered patio or on the upstairs deck with water views. The property gardens added to the ambience.It’s a quick drive in to Coupeville to explore, or park & walk on to the Port Townsend ferry to wander for the day. The cottage was the perfect location and a very enjoyable stay.

Perfect location for exploring Whitbey Island and surrounding areas. The cottage was perfect and on our arrival we found fresh cut flowers from the beautiful rose gardens. Juanita and Marty were the perfect hosts. We were nice and cozy in the evening and enjoyed seeing the area during the day.

Our stay at the Rose Cottage was perfect. The cottage has been thoughtfully designed and appointed with soft colors and attention to detail. The kitchen is large and well appointed, with everything we needed. Multiple window views look onto a huge rose and flower garden and even have peeks of Penn Cove and the surrounding mountains. The cottage is quiet and peaceful. We slept well. There is a washer and dryer, especially helpful for our 15 day stay. Check-in was easy with a door code. The hosts are on-site, in the main house, and promptly attentive as needed. We feel they thought of everything for their guests. They are also a wealth of knowledge of the area as they have lived here many years. Top Notch Hosts!!! In addition, as a road cyclist, I found the Whidbey Cyclist Map easy to use and many low traffic routes are accessible leaving right from the cottage. From this "base", we traversed the entire island and visited many artists, restaurants and State and Local Parks where we hiked and biked and had picnics.

Marty and Juanita are the sweetest hosts. The Cottage is absolutely spotless and has everything you need to cook, clean, do laundry, and feel like you’re coming home. If there’s something you need that you don’t find, a quick text and Juanita will be right over as they live next door on the property. Don’t let that deter you, because the cottage still has a very private feeling. Going in May was a great choice since there’s tulips and other spring blooms, though I heard a bit later in the summer you wake up to the smell of roses. Marty and Juanita are willing to give you space as well as hang out and chat, which we appreciated both. The location is among beautiful farmland which gives it a rural feeling even though you’re less than 10 minutes from Oak Harbor and Coupeville. Mountain and water views are spectacular! And, you can’t find a better sunset on the Puget Sound! Awesome birdwatching, more eagles than you can believe! Something I wished for was slightly more informative check in instructions. However, M and J were just a quick phone call away (they happened to be out when we arrived) and we got in with little issue. I know had we arrived at 4 when check in was scheduled they would have been right there to help. Side note: Whidbey Island is much more LGBTQ friendly than we anticipated, which was a huge plus! My partner and I will be back soon!

Perfect view of the island and right next to the towns to visit, about 8 minutes or so. We met Juanita and Marty on our way out, and we are so thankful to support them! They are truly kind and friendly. We had a great time in the cozy little stay, and all amenities were met!

Both Juanita and Marty made us feel very welcomed in their lovely private cottage. They were very kind and gracious to us as we had some check in date challenges that they were able to help us with. Everything we needed was in the cottage which was very clean and well laid out. Every afternoon my wife and I went on the upper deck and enjoyed our sun downer ritual, while watching the fighter jets fly over above. From this location we were able to do day trips up and down the island, while using Oak Harbour as our main source as a grocery home base. This is a great spot for a lovely “time out”, which we both appreciated!

We loved the central location for our daily outings exploring the island. It was a peaceful and cozy spot to return to with thoughtful touches throughout. Nice to have a kitchen to make a few meals too. Well-decorated with soothing colors. Shower was a little tricky but plenty of hot water and pressure with the instant hot water heater. Lots of birds and meadow to enjoy while sitting at a bistro table on the private patio in the morning with a cup of coffee.

The cottage was the perfect location for a long overdue mother/daughter vacation. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and a water view, it provided a peaceful retreat after a day of pushing ourselves to our limits hiking or just chilling out for the day. The kitchen area was fully equipped with a fridge, microwave, toaster oven/air fryer combo, drip coffee maker, kettle, and countertop burner making it easy and convenient to prepare a meal if we did not want to go out. The property was quiet and comfortable and we knew that Juanita and Marty were close by if we needed anything.

After a very long driving trip to and from San Francisco from Vancouver, BC, we decided to take the weekend to relax in a VRBO before returning home. We were very fortuitous to find this property and it was ideal for our purposes -- relaxing, very well equipped and surrounded by the beautiful gardens lovingly tended by our hosts, Juanita and Marty. The cottage is tastefully designed and offers the bonus of a washer and dryer. The kitchen was well suited to our desire to eat in with two fridges, a convection toaster oven, hotplate and nice dishes and other kitchen supplies, not to mention the great view from the kitchen windows. It is also a good central location from which to explore the Island. In short, a cosy and quiet resting place before we returned to the usual challenges of catching up after an extended absence from home. Uncharacteristically, we left something behind and Juanita was very quick to offer to send it to us (which was very much appreciated)

Cottage was enhanced by the owner's beautiful gardens - particularly the rose garden right outside the cottage door. I spent long days in class, so enjoyed coming back to this lovely setting. Host was very prompt in replies. Property was clean and attractive. It was a short distance to the Pacific NW Art School where I was spending my days.
