About this house rental
You will love this serene slice of paradise only 120 steps from the sea. Kismet has plenty of room for your whole family to relax! Kismet offers over 1,700 square feet of newly remodeled space on 2 floors. There are 3 bedrooms - all with new furniture, new linens and 40-inch flat-screen TV's, 3 bathrooms, and 2 large living areas (50 inch TV’s), a well-equipped kitchen, and a kitchenette in the second living area.
Of course, WiFi is included, along with Roku streaming for each room.
A large deck surrounds 2 sides of the house and is furnished with charcoal grill, large dining table, outdoor sectional, coffee table, and an additional small pub table. The deck boasts panoramic gulf views and cool gulf breezes. Relax on the large sectional and listen to the waves roll in, as you enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail.
The living area features a very comfortable sectional sofa, coffee table, end tables, wood-burning fireplace, and large picture window with a beautiful unobstructed gulf view. There’s nothing between Kismet and the sea except grassland and the beach.
At Kismet, we don’t lug gallons of drinking water up long flights of stairs. Kismet features a whole house water filtration system with an additional reverse osmosis filtration system for drinking water and ice. This is very important on this part of the Gulf, as the public water is well water (non-potable) it is normally recommended that residents and guests drink only bottled water and haul in ice.
The kitchen, with tile countertops, is very well equipped: including a coffeemaker, blender, toaster, glasses, dishes, wine glasses, utensils, brand new pots & pans, waffle maker, grill tools, crab pot, etc. Appliances include a glass stovetop, oven, microwave, stainless steel refrigerator with reverse osmosis filtered water/ice door dispenser and dishwasher.
Upstairs there is a master suite and a second bedroom. The first has a sumptuous king size memory foam bed appointed with luxury linens (including down alternative mattress topper and duvet), large bathroom, plenty of storage space, and a 40" HDTV TV. The second bedroom has an equally lavish queen size bed, a 40" HDTV, and is adjacent to a second full bath.
The ground floor has an additional large living room with a 50" HDTV TV, and 2 days beds that each convert easily to king beds. There is also a kitchenette with a sink, fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. The large bedroom has a king bed, 40 inch HDTV, dresser, and small sitting area. The downstairs bathroom has a double sink and an attached enclosed indoor/outdoor shower. The ground floor can be accessed either by a spiral staircase indoors, or french doors leading to the outside. This makes Kismet uniquely accessible for your older relatives.

Very close to the beach! House was great except for the spiral staircase between floors. Someone fell down it within minutes of arrival. So the only way between floors was to go outside and up the outside floors. All of the bathrooms were functional but interesting. Beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay again but bring baby gates to block off the spiral stair.

The property is somewhat quirky but the description is pretty accurate. This is a far from fancy property but very clean and comfortable and very close to the beach. You can see the ocean from the balcony. It was well stocked with games, movies, books, and streaming subscriptions for rest time. The kitchen had everything we needed. Communication with the host was excellent. Just be sure and ask all your questions when booking. There were a couple of safety issues for our toddler and some updates would totally make this an Excellent rating.

Communication with our host was excellent.Air conditioning worked well.Beach view was as described.The mattress in the master bedroom was totally awesome!Our grandchildren loved playing games in the cute little nook upstairs.The home was clean with the exception of an opened tube of an over the counter cream which my 10 year old grandson found in the drawer of the nightstand by his bed.The book explaining various details about the house needs to be updated. Alot of things handwritten in and somethings had lines through them. Adding a statement about the number of people who can be in the house at any given time would be nice.As far as the condition of the beach house the pictures shown on VRBO website do not depict the true condition of the house. The whitewashing of the walls upstairs was not as welcoming as I was expecting. Baseboard missing by the upstairs living room door and you could see large clumps of spray foam where it was.The entry door upstairs was very hard to open and close. If you didn't close it just right the breeze would open it.Two electrical outlets in the kitchen had post it notes on them saying they did not work. The kitchen faucet leaked by the lever.The majority of all of the interior doors had some type of damage to them.The layout of the downstairs area is fragmented and makes no logical sense. My husband built custom homes before retiring and we notice details.
