Welcome to Gretsky's Great Escape @ Brighton Ski Resort!

Gretsky's Great Escape at Brighton Ski Resort is a large 2,000 sq ft, family owned and operated cabin by Emily and Alex Gretsky.

Located at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon, we are about .01 mile from the base of Brighton Ski Resort and .05 miles up-canyon from Solitude Ski Resort.

We have easy, year round access. It’s off the main Big Cottonwood Canyon road. Our cabin is situated up-canyon from the Guardsman Pass road; in the summer months this provides direct access over the Wasatch ridge to the Park City & Deer Valley! There is plenty to do from our doorstep without ever getting in your car: Biking, hiking, explore Silver Lake Nature area, and of course skiing in the winter months!
Main Level:
*Master bedroom with King bed: sleeps 2.
Master bedroom overlooks the beautiful private behind our cabin.
*Great Room, 2 large leather sofas next to gorgeous new custom Limestone high output fireplace with Walnut mantle. This is visible from the kitchen and dining areas.
*Main Level Kitchen (new appliances) shares a vaulted exposed wood beam ceiling with the dining and living rooms, that is open to the upper level & mezzanine.
*Dining area, bench style seating with chairs at table heads. Seats 8-10.
*Bar area, seats 4 on full-grain leather barstools. Bar is adjacent to the dining area.
*Full bathroom with tub / shower. (entry is off the hallway, not through a bedroom)
*Mudroom with hanging storage for wet gear, plenty of games, camp chairs, hot tub towels, extra pantry storage, Dysom handheld vacuum wand.

Upper Level:
2 private bed rooms overlooking the forest & back deck with Hot Tub.
*Bunk-room: 1 Queen Bed + Twin bed, sleeps 3
*Queen suite: sleeps 2.

Lower Level:
*Lower Level Full Kitchen. Fully stocked with place settings for 10 with matching dishes, glasses, flatware, etc.
*Family Bunk-room, 3 twin beds ,+ 1 full bed: Sleeps 4-5. (This is the quietest room in the house for those who enjoy sleeping in. )

*Cozy Living Room, TV area adjacent to the kitchen and Fooseball area. (Perfect for night owls or teenagers!)

Throughout the cabin, we have new appliances, stocked with kitchen gadgets, matching dishes, upscale furnishings, cozy bedding with lots of luxurious blankets and throws, cozy heating system, within the newly remodeled interior of the cabin offers a relaxing environment with new furniture.

Located 13.7 miles up Big Cottonwood Canyon, we have easy year-round access. Once at the cabin, you can walk or bike over over to Molly Green's Pub or grab a burger at the Milly Chalet at Brighton Ski Resort. There are plenty of things to do when your legs are worn out!

Brighton Ski Resort and the Solitude Nordic Center are a short walk across the base of the Brighton “loop” road; 3-5 min walk from our front door.

IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE: Absolutely NO DOGS ALLOWED. Not only is it illegal to have dogs in Big Cottonwood Canyon due to watershed and forest service regulations but the owners of this property have a serious pet allergy that prohibits animals of any kind. If staff or neighbors report the presence of dogs/ animals of any kind, the guests will have to be ask to vacate and pay for additional sanitizing. We apologize for such strict precautions. Events, weddings, large gatherings, or accommodating more than the designated number of people a booked property is advertised to sleep is not permissible at any time during your stay. 12 persons max occupancy. We do charge additional fee per guest over 8 people so please be accurate with your guest count. Failure to add accurate guest count to your booking may result in you being asked to vacate property without refund. There are cameras on site, be honest. Due to restrictive ordinances and the desires of owners to preserve the peace and tranquility of neighbors and our community, these "events" are not permitted, ever, as they can be disruptive and are additional wear and tear on the property and grounds. We apologize for the limitations this may put on your plans to stay with us, but please understand that we must (and will) make every effort to monitor, enforce and protect the interest of our owners and our community. In the event you are found to have violated this rule you may face potential legal or financial penalties. Quiet time is from 10pm-7am. Please keep this in mind when using outside decks and hot tub. The hot tub cannot be used during the quiet hours of 10pm-7am. Noise ordinances are strictly enforce by owner and local police. If you are coming to party please choose another property as this is not allowed at our cabin and Big Cottonwood Canyon in general.
