About this house rental
*High Speed WIFI (600Mbps)* Settled in western Shenandoah County, Hickory House is a mountain home off the beaten track. It is under an hour to Luray Caverns or Front Royal, 11 min to Bryce Resort and 45 min to Massanutten Resort. HH offers everything you need to unwind with local wineries, trails and other adventures, AND without the heavy congestion of tourists. We invite you to kick back and relax with our extensive library or step outside to breathe in the mountain air on our 3 acre property which includes an outdoor grill and hot tub! The theme of our house is R&R. Rest and Relaxation. While we do have a smart TV, there are plenty of other activities: unwind with a record, sip coffee on the front porch or watch the sunset, enjoy coloring books, puzzles, games for all ages and toys including legos for the kids! (Or the adults out there who like legos)
Our library covers all genres you could imagine. From classics, to historical fiction, to economics, you name it. All books are open to borrow (take) as needed, except the two on the coffee table: Our Guestbook and HONY.
The kitchen is fully stocked for all levels of cooking. We have your basics for baking, spices, and cooking oil. An assortment of cookware and utensils allows you to put something on to slow-cook, bake a frozen pizza or create a gourmet meal.
Comfortable mattresses, endless pillows and cozy blankets await. You will get a restful night of sleep with only the sounds of the birds to wake you.
We do have a washer and dryer for laundry services. Our basement is unfinished, so it is only accessible if you need to do laundry.

Very clean, great communication, amenities all just as stated! Loved the hot tub time in the cold air. Will definitely be staying again!!

My entire stay was amazing! Everything from the host to all the great amenities. There were tons of games for the family and I to play. They even had hot coco for us to sip while we piled up in the living room and watched scary movies. Everything was a 10/10!

Host provided lots of great suggestions for restaurants, hikes, wineries and more. Plus the house had everything we could need, it was a home away from home. We had a wonderful weekend with our grown children
