Captivating Sunlight Cottage

A great location, walking distance to great restaurants and breweries.

We stayed at the captivating sunlight cottage during the 4th of July weekend and were very happy! It was a wonderful, quaint, cozy home in downtown Brookings. Several food options and local shopping was within close walking distance.

Walking distance to shops, restaurants and our favorite Compass Coffee. 5-10 minutes from Chetco Point, Mills Beach, McVay Beach and visitor center. Fresh fish at Lola’s by the Harbor. Thank you for the great amenities!

Had a great two night stay in Brookings. Very walkable location to local restaurants and breweries. Very clean and quiet place.

Worked out wonderfully, close to out event, great bars and restaurants, Fred Meyer and the hidden gem Chetco Point. We really enjoyed the porch too!

The cottage was extremely clean. It is located in a commercial area, but since we were there for a seminar and were gone all day, that made it perfect. It felt very safe and was quiet in the evening and for sleeping. The beds were comfortable, fairly firm, but seemed new. The only suggestion I would make is blackout curtains. Since it’s a commercial area there are streetlights and pretty bright all night. Fortunately we had a light blanket to cover the window with. We didn’t do any cooking so I can’t comment on the kitchen, except that it was very clean.

This is by far the cleanest property we've ever had with VRBO! We had everything we needed or wanted! Quiet neighborhood walking distance to town. Thank you ❤️

Clean, cozy, quiet, nice porch sitting, bathroom spotless! Wish the windows had a good clean so could have enjoyed the blinds up.

The house was clean and as described in the ad.

The cottage looked like a good place to stay, but hadn’t been cleaned. We called the office and were immediately moved to a bigger, spotlessly clean place. Great group to work with and would book with them again.

If you are looking for a place that's clean and comfortable this is it. The beds and pillows are comfortable, very little street noise and walking distance to a coffee shop and driving distance to beautiful beaches. Not a place to spend time in but a great place to spend to hang your hat.

This cottage was cute & comfy. Not far from the coast, restaurants & activities. Would definitely rent again.

We were sad too leave. Nice location, plenty of room for the three of us. All the anemities and made my husband happy birthday and mom’s day for our family. Will be back!

Everything was as described. We liked the area. The bathroom was very clean and the home in general. It's a small house, perfect for us. There are no sound barriers, so beware lol. It is walking distance to stores and restaurants.

Clean home located on the back street of downtown so if you don’t want to drive your writhing walking distance of restaurants and stores.

The home was exactly as photos indicated. Location was excellent...within blocks of restaurants, parks, gorgeous walks above sea. Very nice and comfortable furniture. Both beds in the 2 bedrooms were exceptionally comfortable and the bedding was deluxe. Loved the bookshelf with variety of books/game in front bedroom. Nice closet space with quality hangers. Kitchen has a huge double wide refrigerator...there were only 2 of us for a short stay so we didn't need it but for a larger party, it's perfect. Set of 4/6 dishes & glasses. Several pots, pans, cooking utensils. Toaster/microwave with large stove/oven. Table for eating has 4 chairs. There's a lovely little desk in the living area with lamp and plenty of plug-ins. Large screen TV (which we did not use so we're not sure all channels that could be accessed). Plastic Adirondack chairs to sit on front porch. Extremely well put together and helpful notebook which included not only places to see, eat, stores, churches, medical services, local parks, (with addresses, phone #s, hours of operation) but history and very interesting information about the county. First page included all the instructions/expectations for your stay, check-in/check-out times, contact person/#. There are no views of water but you are within minutes of a variety of views/access. Easy parking right in front of home.

Sunlight Cottage was adorable! It reminded me of our first home’s charm. The beds and sofa were super comfy. It was an easy quick process to get the keys. Brookings is a great little town. We spent all day exploring Samuel Boardman stops and felt relaxed at Sunlight Cottage in the evenings.
