This was our second time at Bahia Pez Vela. We love the location and community. This unit is close to beach, pool and restaurant. Everything was pristine when we arrived. Great job by cleaning crew to prep for our arrival. The restaurant was undergoing a new ownership so menu was limited but service was great. A few minor issues with unit - running toilet and there were minimal supplies in the kitchen. Typically a unit would have salt/pepper, plastic wrap etc but this one was pretty bare. Nothing that diminished the visit. We had a blast and overall a great unit and value and would do it again!

The property was as pictured. Beautiful, plenty of space. Pool, beach and restaurant excellent! It is a short walk to the pool, the beach and the restaurant, very convenient. Kitchen well equipped, just sugar was missed for morning coffee. People at reception very helpful and nice. It is just a little away from town (maybe 8 minutes drive) but it was just what we needed. I will definitely go back, no doubt!!

Overall, the house and location are excellent. Short walk to the pool and beach. The beach is beautiful with black sand, and the pool area is lovely and clean. The house was big, clean and comfortable. My only suggestion is that the owners upgrade the kitchen appliances - the toaster and hot water heater are completely broken, and the coffee maker and toaster oven are barely functional.

We spent 2 weeks at Bahia Pez Vela with our 3 children ages 14, 12 and 10. The villa itself has a nice layout and was mostly well stocked (has beach towels, nice bed linens etc). Only complaint was the kitchen was not as well stocked as other places we've stayed (no spices, cooking oils, plastic wrap etc, mix-match dishes and no baking sheets). The semi-private beach was fantastic with fun and safe waves. We felt comfortable letting the kids swim without worry of dangerous currents. Pools are beautiful and well maintained. Wi-Fi worked great and the villa had excellent A/C. We felt very safe and had any questions/needs attended to immediately. Good local grocery store options and lots of local restaurant options. We dined at Father Roosters twice - loved it the first time and was unimpressed the second time 🤷🏻♀️ Tamarindo is about 1-1.5 hours away - fun surfing lessons. Also hiked Las Leones waterfall - definitely recommend!! Colorado tour company was excellent. Would definitely stay here again!
