The White House & Retreat is a tastefully renovated large family home, well-equipped, centrally located and ideal for a large family or more than one family. The main house sleeps 16 people in four bedrooms (there is a fold-out bed for the 16th person) and the unit in the backyard sleeps 4 people in two bedrooms.
This property is managed on behalf of the owner by Bright Holidays (part of the Dickens Real Estate group).

Bedroom three: Queen bed

OUTSIDE BUNGALOW

Linen and towels are provided.
KITCHEN & DINING
The large open dining/kitchen area features a combustion wood fire and a generous sized dining table for 10 people which is the perfect place to gather with family and friends. Please note a starter supply of firewood, kindling, fire lighters and matches are supplied. Additional firewood can be purchased at local supermarkets and service stations.
LOUNGE
The lounge room is more than comfortable with lounge seating for 7 people, a large TV and DVD player and a second dining table seating 8 people.
WIFI is not available at this property.
HEATING & COOLING
All bedrooms have split system heating/cooling and an electric wall heater. There is split system heating/cooling in the dining room and lounge room.
BATHROOMS & LAUNDRY
The first two bedrooms have their own ensuite. The main bathroom has a great sized shower, a bath and toilet, washing machine and dryer. The separate bungalows feature ensuite bathrooms for each of the bedrooms.
OUTDOORS
The White House features a fantastic undercover outdoor entertainment area complete with outdoor dining and seating, a fridge, gas BBQ & plenty of bench space! There is also another laundry, bike storage and undercover parking.

The host was very responsive and relied I a timely manner! The house had so much space and was brilliant for 5 families and all the kids!Easy to use kitchen and awesome entertaining areas! Also such a great spot in Bright, very close to the Main Street and everything it has to offer

This was a really spacious house with 18 of us staying here. There is a lot of extra space in all of the bedrooms, and the two living areas are really big. Every room has heating that worked a treat, and we had the woodfire going as well (there is no guarantee that wood will be supplied, but if it is, you can use it).The bathrooms are modern and spacious too. There is plenty of room for parking multiple cars off road. The main streets of Bright are only a few minutes walk. I can't recommend this holiday rental highly enough. We loved it!

On the positive side, the property's size was impressive, allowing the kids to have a great time. The location was convenient and added to the overall appeal.
However, there were a couple of maintenance issues that impacted our stay. Firstly, we encountered some unwelcome guests in the kitchen - ants were crawling over our food after the first night. This was quite a disappointment and made us uneasy about using the kitchen for the remainder of our stay.
Additionally, the common bathroom had an unpleasant sewer smell that found its way into the house and even into one of the bedrooms. This was not only uncomfortable but also posed a hygiene concern. Furthermore, we noticed that the laminate flooring in the bedrooms at the back of the property was coming off.
In spite of these issues, our overall experience was okay. The property has potential, but it's clear that it requires better maintenance and attention to detail. With some upkeep, it could be an excellent place to stay in the future.
In conclusion, while the property's location and size were definite highlights, the maintenance issues we encountered were disappointing. Addressing these concerns would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
