The space
Hobson House is located in the historic district of North Charleston, where the Naval Officers were quartered. It is an up and coming revitalized neighborhood, surrounded by gorgeous old oak trees. Serene and private, it is a perfect gathering spot for a celebration with friends and family. The neighborhood is very quiet, and has 24 hour patrolled security. Please note the houses directly next to Hobson House are unoccupied. The Admiral's House, School House and other remodeled houses are approximately .10 mile away towards Riverfront Park. Search “Navy Yard Charleston” for more information on the neighborhood and future plans. House and neighborhood were used to film many episodes of the Netflix series Outer Banks and the movie the Notebook.

What a fantastic family getaway! We were in town for a baby shower at Holy City Brewing and looking for a place nearby for our entire 10-member family to stay. How fortunate we were to find the Hobson House! This historic, old home has been wonderfully restored and is in a beautiful, lowcountry setting. Of particular appeal to us is the link to The Outer Banks, one of our favorite series, and the history of the old Navy Base. All the rooms are spacious and well-equipped, especially the kitchen. The fire-pit was a great addition! Glenn was very responsive to all our questions and requests. We only stayed for three nights but wish it had been longer. There is so much to do close by that a trip to downtown Charleston is not necessary. We enjoyed the Park Circle Playground, disc golf course, and Riverfront Park. The ambiance, food, and brews at DIG and the Tattooed Moose were a real treat. We wish we had had time to visit the other breweries. If you’re looking for a fun, relaxing family getaway without the traffic and congestion of the coast, we highly recommend the Hobson House and North Charleston!
