Private Cabin Nestled and Bordering the Otting Tract WMA On Lookout Mt.

We loved this cabin and may stay again. It was very quiet! The only negatives I would say is the bed did not have a box spring so it was very low to the ground! This could be a deal breaker for some. The oven was dirty. The water pressure in the "2 person shower" was very low and it looked dingy / dirty. I would not exactly call it 2 person. Pictures of the shower in advance would have kept the expectations realistic. The deck needed cleaning and repair. Overall the cabin was clean and cozy. None of these things were deal breakers for us but maybe for some people. With a little work this cabin could be all 5 stars, one of our favorites. It just needs some TLC.

Everything others said about the furniture is accurate. And the coverings in the futon sofa need to be cleaned. There were zero check out instructions. No welcome. Just a little odd all the way around. Conveniently located and well stocked but not terribly clean kitchen items.

Great location. Perfect for a weekend getaway

I had no internet the entire time I was there. I sent 2 email messages to property owner / manager but I’m not sure if they were received because they were never acknowledged. I had to leave the property and drive until I got a signal to even send the email ; then I had to go back out several times to check for a response that never came. Also, the code to get into the cabin hasn’t changed since the last time I was there in 2023. It is quite apparent because it’s in the binder along with the information about the internet that is outdated . It still has you finding the router / modem upstairs behind the futon . That was ALSO 2023. It’s now downstairs by the TV but unfortunately doesn’t work. I ended up leaving 4 days early because I didn’t feel safe with no phone, no internet to even send a text and a door with a code that has been used by how many people (?). I didn’t bother notifying anyone of the early check out because I wasn’t looking for a refund or expecting a response because I didn’t get one regarding the internet service This was my 4th or 5th stay in this cabin and it will be my last. I’ve seen it continuously degrade over time. I’m pretty sure the windows have never been cleaned, the screens on the porch are all torn up so you can’t take your dog on the porch with you for fear he may go out a hole, the pots and pans and cooking utensils are ridiculous to try to prepare any kind of dinner. There’s not even basic spices. Very poor experience
